I’m pretty sure Classic is just younger, him being 16 was retconned because at the time “Classic” were just a different design and not like the past after Gens.

That's how I found out that Classic Knuckles is 15 years old like Modern Sonic, Classic Amy is 8 years old like both Tailses, and Classic Sonic, Classic Charmy & Classic Vector are 16 years old like Modern Knuckles & both Espios.

@@STHFan1992 1. Classic charmy being 16 was a typo and in the Japanese version he was listed as 6. Those were listed at a time where the classic versions where just different designs like Mario overalls. So simply those ages got retconned when adventure/heroes happened because that was the newer standard. It wasn’t until Gens where the Classic designs became younger versions, so any info about ages prior to Gens for the classic gang is no longer true, and can just be assumed to be younger then modern.
