The thing about sonic characters in mugen is that they are extremely fast and land a lot of hits, so most of the time their attacks do low damage as a way to balance them an encourage a style of gameplay that revolves around doing the longest combo to your opponents Now that Midoriya mugen along with most of the other charcters the sonic cast fought are really unbalanced, the only balanced ones are probably Vegeta, Genos and Naruto but even then i believe they did good.

Realistically there is a very small chance Goku beats Sonic depending on where you scale him but I'm pretty positive Luffy isn't even Planet level and I have no clue where Naruto scales but I think the highest I've heard him scaled is like star level so yeah still gets clapped.

I don't wanna be called a downplayer or anything. But people say 06 had the best scaling for Sonic b'cuz of them scaling to concepts of present, past, & future, when they're not actually concepts. Remember that the world of sonic 06 is like its own continuity thanks to the fixed timeline or causality loop that eventually ends. Otherwise, plot holes like elise having a chaos emerald for 10yrs would contradict what's established in previous games. (Same could be said with Blaze being future gohan in Silver's time. Which btw, her bio says that she protects and uses the sol emeralds and she's from her dimension. Though she really should have interacted with the others and be level headed to object the creepy hedge without a mouth if that were the case.) They also seem to time travel like past, present and future were locations rather than actual periods of time. Until Silver and Sonic thought about going back in time to save the princess. I don't get why Sonic was in a hurry back in crisis city like if he and his amigos were sent to another place instead of 200yrs to the future, when these time travel shenanigan shouldn't be new to him if CD were canon. So the present, past & future that Solaris and the super hedgehog trio were fighting at are finite and either broken or consumed by Solaris. Plus we should have had stages from other sonic games in the End of the World stages if otherwise.
