The voice of blaze was done by me with a voice filter and is NOT AI. There is a big diference and still requires acting for it to sound right, we will not tolerate discrimination because some choose to not understand the diference. The way blaze was done was made the exact same way as for example Omega or metal sonic, you gonna call a metal sonic voice acting AI too? obviously not.

Honestly, I like that despite Sonic's teasing, if you could even call it that, the writers still manage to leave it up to interpretation as to what these two's relationship could ultimately be. If you think they could be a romantic couple, there's definitely chemistry and text to support it, but if you prefer them as just friends or partners, the writing does its best to accommodate that too. What their relationship status is is ultimately up to the reader and there are no wrong answers. Plus, it's nice to see two characters having good chemistry and being supportive without it being labeled as exclusively romantic. There are lots of different kinds of love and lots of different ways people express that love, and it's not always just one thing. I think it's actually very mature and nuanced depiction of this type of thing

I have to agree, it's really solid writing. Very up to interpretation and allows the reader to feel validated whether they're on either side. I myself am on the friends side for Silver since I've become something of a Sonaze fan, yet the interaction between Blaze lets my interpretation feel valid while the other also feels possible. I like it a lot!

I think the funny thing is… Blaze herself points out why she is drawn to both Sonic and Silver… they’re the same in the ways that matter. And considering how this comic teases the idea of both Sonaze and Silvaze… in a funny way you can say IDW and Sega are calling Blaze out for having a type. 😂😂

I hope silver and blaze have their own comic arc together. I hope Silver comes back to the main story because he was unfinished business. I can see Silver and Blaze go on an amazing adventure together for their own comic story. They both help each other and learn from each other. They get better and save the world together.

😂😂 Honestly, when Blaze tells Silver that he and Sonic are basically the same in the most important ways, it made me laugh and say “All that will tell the shippers is that you have a type. Hedgehogs of immense power, who take affirmative action, and only want to use their power to help others. The fact that you are only so flustered around Sonic and Silver suggest that you have a type, Blaze. 😂😂

If sometime would be an issue about Silver and Blaze spend their time together in Soleanna, it's gonna be........interesting. I think that place can be familiar for these two, but definitely wouldn't give them 06 flashbacks. And I'm glad that Silver found what to do in the Sonic's time. It's pretty nice idea to let Blaze explore another world, and let Silver explore another time. And it's even better when they're doing it together.

Excluding Sonic saying things, I really haven't seen shipping tease from the writers in other stories featuring the two together. This issue feels more like siblings being there for each other.

Well, Sonic did liken them to how he and Tails operate, and Sonic and Tails are like brothers. Ian also mentioned in a podcast that there was talks about Blaze having a crush on Sonic and that it was still up in the air, and based on how the last chapter went she may have something for him. I'm no shipper, just an unbiased observation.

Is as Sonic said, their relationship is the same as "Sonic and Tails". Is a partnership. Around Sonic she blushes, around Silver she opens up more.

I think I am getting a headache from this back and forth thing. From Sonic and Blaze to Silver and Blaze, and yet having that same chemistry build up. Also the hint of Soleanna was nice, and at 2:24 got me a deja vu feeling from Elemental.

Last panel when they go to see Soleanna just gave me literal war flash backs

Well IDW comic and Sonic ships Silver and Blaze together. And he is a mix of both Silver so yeah. That was cool thanks.

Glad to know Sonic & I have a similar taste in shipping! Wether that’s a good or bad things, I leave in the unfortunate hands of the community

I love how you can clearly see Blaze and Silver have some sort of romantic feeling for each other since they're both shy souls and we've seen a lot in media is that when two shy souls are in love they act flustered during complements and are usually in sync. (I'm also a bit of a shy soul myself and I get really flustered when my crush complements me.) Yet, the writers make it so subtle that you could interpret that any way to keep the fans happy.... and quiet.....

I think this is the writers' sick way of keeping Surge evil a little longer. Think about it: Silver has time traveling methods and Blaze used the Sol Emeralds to restore Sonic's memories that one time. So IDW got rid of them so that they wouldn't be around to help with Surge's little problem when she joins the Restoration in Issue 67.

Fam the writters know what they are doing, it has been quite obvious they fking know whats up with the fans and they are aware of all things fandom related, its the main reason why we even got Scrapnik Island's main quote "ILL CRUSH YOU" being a reference to the work of a sonic themed fan series SMBZ

Frankly I always knew and love that silver and blaze are good to each not just friends but couples whether they aware of it or not and whether fans like it or not

The person who voice Blaze did a great job it fits her perfectly

I don't know, to begin with issue 63 was fanservice just because Aaron Hammerstrom likes Sonaze. Ian Flynn already said that Blaze has a crush on Silver and she and Sonic are just sibling. In this comic Silver accidentally flirts with Blaze and she gets nervous and unable to make eye contact and they go on a DATE to Soleana. And with the "Sonic Charm" thing it's just something meaningless, it seemed like forced dialogue to me as well as issue 63 (I'm not surprised that issue is the most hated)

​I think Ian actually described the crush and the sibling bit a bit differently.. I don't recall Ian stating such stuff on his bumblekast since Ian acknowledged that blaze had a crush on sonic in a previous bumblekast

I thought this was nice and then I heard Blaze mention Soleanna and was thinking "NO DON'T GO THERE"

I made a joke a few months ago about Sonic shipping them from that one panel of all three of them in #12. And now this happens! I think I was ahead of it without realizing. 😆

They ate the Grand Slam together, after all. Personally, I wouldn't share one with just anyone.

They weren't nervous, they were having eye contact most of the time and the "date" could be just hanging out. I mean, in the previous issue with Sonic, Blaze literally blushed when they held hands, unlike what she did when she held Silver's hand.

Sonic is the type of guy to get all of his friends into relationships without ever getting into one himself.

I don't know, Blaze doesn't seem to have any blind spots to cover for. Then again, I haven't read the comics and I have a lot of trouble figuring out what personality traits people have. Silver is described as being naive, optimistic and a strong sense of justice, yet I could never pin-point those traits in Sonic 06. I usually ship them based on instinct.

Thank you greatly for adding the *LOUD SLURPING* Scenes not complete without it.

Honestly, this back-up story felt really weird after last month's back-up story. To me it comes off like someone on the staff saw the one panel of Blaze blushing from Sonic holder her hand last month and said, "Oh no! We can't have people shipping Blaze with Sonic instead of Silver." And quickly wrote Silver out of the main arc so he could replace Sonic as Blaze's vacation buddy.

Yeah, I think this back up story for Blaze and Silver is going on adventures and will get better. Sonic gave a good advice about the two need is each other and have each other's backs. Silver and Blaze will go on adventures and develop to be the best partners and when they return to the main story, they will show how good they are as a team like Sonic and Tails.

I think I agree with you, after issue 63 received hate and only generated controversies in the fandom they tried to remedy the ''error'' of Sonic and Blaze's trip. Ian Flynn in a podcast also said that there would be a rude surprise for those who liked Sonic and Blaze's dynamic in issue 63, and when he said that I never expected Silver and Blaze to get nervous to the point of not being able to make contact. visual, they hold hands, Sonic shipping them both, Blaze laughing at Silver making fun of Sonic, and they go... on a date? And the truth is that the move turned out well for them because many people got angry with issue 64.

Don’t know how the writers would go about it. But I would love a mini series, a spin-off, featuring Blaze and Silver. There’s so much story telling potential with them, and there’s still so much we don’t know about Silver’s future, and Blaze’s dimension.

Also doing little things regardless of what you are trying to achieve, is a great step to the right step, we should all ways try our best to do good and eventually we might become great at it!

Sonic is not really a guy whose into the whole romance thing (Archie Sonic being the real exception to the rule with Princess Sally) so Sonic can see how close Silver and Blaze are but can only really equate it to the brotherhood he and Tails share. Although in the issue before this, Blaze blushed when Sonic held her hand and Blaze also defends Sonic charm here so IDW is possibly teasing that Blaze can go either way between the hedgehogs. If I were a shipper (not really into shipping but as long as it’s non toxic I don’t see the harm of ppl discussing it), Blaze’s response tells me that she has a type… and both Sonic and Silver fit the bill. Don’t think so, since they don’t seem to visit places populated with humans like Station Square or any of the places in Unleashed. Since Humans live in the bigger countries. It’s still possible they exist as they referenced past games that featured them, however it’s confirmed humans will not appear in the comic, but that might change if Sega demands it.

Who knew IDW was capable of a good story. And this one is fantastic. Not just for the obvious shipping implications, but just that it feels sincere and is a good representation of characters I care about.
