That’s because the cutscenes were made with the 4:3 aspect in mind, you’re not supposed to see him like this, but since these cutscenes were recorded on an emulator with widescreen, you can see everything on the sides of the screen.

Underrated statement: this game has the best expressions on a character for its time.

I figured "character development" meant that a character changes to the point where they wouldn't make decisions that they might have been expected to do based on their past behaviour. Character development would be if Sonic decided *not* to launch Amy after rethinking the way he's been treating her.

Late reply, but it's because the in-game cutscenes were designed to be viewed in a 4:3 aspect ratio, but the emulator used here views them in widescreen (16:9 aspect ratio), so you see things that weren't meant to be seen normally.

when sonic and jet met for the first time will always be my fav scene. had so much fun playing this shit when i was a kid.

Okay I'm probably the only one who thinks this but the cutscenes where jet and the gang open the door to the Babylon treasure the scene is so we'll put together the music leading up to it is amazing it's just a less complex version of the boss theme but it really builds the scale of what the stumbled upon to such a grander height then when sonic and them go to chase after them the music is booming with a great shot of sonics gang speeding toward the door after such a booming noise it's amazing man definitely one of the best cutscenes in sonic history imo sad I can't find that cutscenes music on its own cause it's magnificent

Clearly the Babylon Rouges should’ve played an important role in Secret Rings

Playing this game back in the summer of 06 with Shadow the Hedgehog and Sonic Mega Collection, I loved this game so much~ Collecting all the junk parts, buying all the extreme gears (board, skates, and bike), and the extra characters are a awesome bonus! (Ulala and NIGHTs ftw) Those nights were fun ☆

This game was the greatest influence sonic had in my childhood. I had mostly been a Nintendo boy but had always been watching the blue blur. Then I got an xbox. It was a no brainer, I had to see why he was so popular.
