Awesome to hear you just started your coding journey. Perhaps start playing around with Sonic Pi and I might have the honour of coming along to one of your future gigs!

Enjoying this set whilst I crack on with some work. Hoping I might get to see you in action before very long Sam, if that's a possibility 🤞

I'd love to get some public gigs one day. I think my stuff is a bit too esoteric at the moment. Venues seem to be a bit more conservative and less experimental since the pandemic.

@@SamAaron That may be true, but I think you have an angle into community spaces and museums that showcase artists in all their esoteric-ness. For example, a month long special weekend gig at a kid's tech museum. Set up stations w/ headphones for people to create music and have a few performances scheduled where you are the performer and people can dance. Also, some cities have community spaces with special events that would love your art. For example, at the MAH (Museum of Art and History) in Santa Cruz, you would fit in as the centerstage dance DJ/performer at many of the events that take place there. SF also has events where you'd fit right in.

Impressive! It would be nice if the video overlay wasn’t so bright, so that one could better see what you are typing.

Hey Sam, thank you for your work! What music visualization software is that in the background? Edit: Or is it just a video on loop that's somewhat synced to the BPM? Either ways, love it!

Thanks for your kind words. In this video I’m just using some vj loops in Resolume - mixing it with the code and some FX.

There's a super handy tutorial in the help section on the application. If you follow it step by step in order, it will walk you through all the features.

I wouldn't recommend trying this program on Linux. Maybe things have changed, but it was a headache to get the program to launch at all, and when I did, no audio output :(
