The best strategy I've found is to first get only one ring at the start of the battle so you have plenty left in the arena if you get hit, then hang back at the very edge of the arena, up against the invisible wall where the attacks are less dense. Keep your Chaos power set to Chaos Control, and use it when the 3 gold Beetles appear so you can hit them all before they vanish. Once you get all three, deactivate Chaos Control and run back to the outside of the arena, then just dodge attacks until the next set of gold Beetles appears. If you get hit, use Chaos Control and quickly grab another ring, then turn it off. Even with this strategy though, the camera makes it tough to see everything you need to avoid

You make this shit look good. Someone who knows how to design levels and use way more automated cameras could do some insane shit with the Sonic Infinity framework, omens has cool ideas but God the execution is just trash poo poo

Maybe they make it look good because they took the time to learn the game and become good at it. Maybe there's nothing wrong with the level design and people just don't want to adapt. The way I see it, it's like when Iizuka said people don't understand Frontiers.

@@MarkerMurker Your argument is "git gud"? I shouldn't have to have one thumb ready to adjust the camera at all times in a high speed action platformer who's official 3D games are known for their cinematic automated camera angles, which also make the game infinitely easier to get into.

@@aortaplatinum I vastly prefer this camera and control system because I never homing attack the wrong enemy unlike in Sega's games. Omens was tailored for a high skill ceiling and a moderate skill floor and it works. Why shouldn't someone have to learn the game well enough if they want to make it look good? I certainly didn't want that control taken from me just for the cinematics. I can do it myself and it allows for way more customizability in people's runs as you saw here. Even on my first playthrough when levels took up to 20 minutes, I was analyzing the level design and seeing how I could be better. Not complaining that the game wasn't easy enough
