Personally, another thing about Jim Carrey's grand re-return to the Sonic Movie lineup is how he originally said that he would return in Sonic 3 _"if the angels bring some sort of script that's written in gold ink;"_** he'd need to believe that the script was significant/impactful enough for audiences to experience. I feel like that quote alone says a multitude of things about Sonic 3's potential greatness. Disregarding a scenario with high-enough paychecks bringing him back to the big screen, considering how Jim Carrey seems to feel that this movie has that deserving script, I feel quite inclined to believe that Sonic 3 truly will be yet another _incredible_ advancement of the series/franchise. The logo is amazing and with live and Learn playing is amazing and I’m glad Jim Carry is coming back for this movie. If there’s a 4th movie and Jim Carry doesn’t return in it I am ok with that.

The Year Of Shadow has begun.

For Maria's death, I don't really care whether they actually show it or not. But I really want to see Shadow being genuinely messed up over her death. See, in the games. Even in Sonic Adventure 2, I never really got the sense that Shadow was ever truly devastated or saddened over her loss. He only had a couple moments where he expressed it and then moved on. I kinda want to see Shadow have a genuine breakdown or something. Out of rage or out of sadness to really show how much Maria meant to him. Because most of the time, I've never really gotten the sense of how much Maria's loss meant to him outside of fan works.

Well, Maria is essentially Shadow’s Uncle Ben moment, it’s expected to happen.

I will say that Sonic 3 will Completely DOMINATE these past TWO MOVIES!!!!!! RN!! PERIOD!!!

Hayden Christensen playing both Anakin Skywalker and Shadow the Hedgehog sounds hilarious to me.

Honestly I'm kinda alright with Jim Carrey retiring after Sonic 3, it would give them opportunities to play around with new villains (but who though?) Yet at the same time Eggman is such an integral part of Sonic canon, it just doesn't fully feel like Sonic without him.. Not to mention if they do bring back Eggman as a character for the next film(s), which I think is unlikely once Carrey is confirmed to be in retirement, the new actor has massive shoes to fill... I'm a little worried, but since the last 2 films were handled fairly well I'm cautiously optimistic

If Hayden Christensen is casted as Shadow, Not only would it be such a great casting choice for a number of reasons, but it would be kind of funny knowing there's a song from the Shadow the Hedgehog game called 'The Chosen One.'😏🤭

I think the Mario movie showed how good video game music is in video game movies and the Sonic Symphony showed how much Sonic fans love the music, so they gotta have music in the movie.

Bro! That thumbnail had me dying! XD You’re absolutely right about the music, it’s great stuff and they should lean more into it. For me personally, Live and Learn is not may not be favorite vocal track in SA2 but it wouldn’t feel right excluding it from the movie. I also cannot wait to see what the cast and everyone is cooking up for this movie. I just know that they’re going to bring their all into it as best as they can!

It's worth mentioning that it's also taking elements from Shadow's solo game, not just SA2, but I do think it will lean towards more SA2 though just by the logo alone, while having their own original ideas like maybe the Wachowskis trying to unveil some stuff about Project Shadow and such.

I remember Junkie XL originally wanted a more synthetized score for the first movie, inspired by 8-bit and 16-bit videogames (maybe something similar as seen in Detective Pikachu), but Paramount instead shifted for a cinematic orchestrated score (executives!!)

I agree on the music, in Sonic Movie 2 when Sonic's underwater I was waiting for the drowning music, it wasn't until after I read online that it was supposedly in there. It's one of the most iconic, evocative pieces of game music of that era, if not of all time, so for it to be SO buried in the mix that I can't hear it is a problem. With Sonic Adventure 2 being a huge game on the Dreamcast and SA2Battle being the first big Sonic game to appear outside of a sega console, it's soundtrack, especial Escape and L&L, are huge, I don't think I appreciated how huge until the Sonic Symphony stream. I think they have to do something with the songs in Sonic Movie 3.

The logo looks really cool! The cast seems interesting. Having the music from SA2 in the movie would make it epic. As long as the writing is really good and the music is there too, it would be a very cool and great movie.

It breaks my heart that Rouge is *allegedly* confirmed replaced by a human character (Ritter playing a human agent called Rockwell) in the movie. People are gonna be so mad.

05:15 the reason for that come from Jeff Fowler himself saying using music from the game wouldn't fit into the movie. He was interviewing for that reason.

Indeed remember hearing Hard Times (the actual song) being played over the snowboarding scene from Sonic The Hedgehog Movie 2 and it was beautiful!

I agree with you, about the music I would love for them to play music from the video games, but if they don't it is preferable that they do something similar like the Super Mario movie did, it had music from their video games but they remixed them, they were short but they were very memorable , I hope they do the same in this movie (in case something is wrong, forgive me, I'm using a translator 😭)

I wonder if Sofia Pernas is maybe voicing Rouge (if Rouge is in the movie)? She could pull it off, imo. She already played a role as a treasure hunter/thief in a show called Blood & Treasure. That character is shown to be willing to betray allies and enemies if the betrayal is for her own interests (at least in the first season). Kinda similar to what Rouge does in SA2. That’s not the only reason but one of the main ones

Junkie XL wouldn't be the one responsible for the inclusion of licenced music, he isn't sitting in his studio thinking "You know what? Some Run DMC would be sweet in this scene instead of me bothering to write some original music". He has commented on wanting to include some game sounding tracks for the first movie, but the producers told him not to. He's getting a lot of blame from people unfamiliar with the role of a film composer and the amount of creative freedom they have. Hopefully the producers have taken note of the feedback this time.

Even 4Kids, despite their censorship, included it well. Since its not gonna be a complete one to one retelling, I hope they don't say she's missing and managed to bring her back just because kids film. XD

So what I wanted Sega do is have General Robotnik have Maria and Shadow escape to Earth. Let's say Maria only has a few days to live before she dies so Shadow travel around Earth with Maria and meet new people and make some friends along the way Then Maria dies in Shadow's arms asking him to protect the people of Earth and make friends only for Shadow to misunderstand what she said and take revenge on the people who took Maria from him

The Mario movie has proven that you can combine a score with original compositions and themes from the games and say what you want about that movie but the score is the best part about that movie and I hope more video game movies INCLUDING THE SONIC MOVIES take note since Sonic music is just as iconic as Mario music

I hope Sonic movie 3 becomes the best movie of all time. The ultimate Sonic movie!!

Since they skipped over Metal Sonic’s introduction and the Chaos incident in Station Square, I hope they’ll have the testies to make the 4th movie into a full on war between the Black Arms, the Eggman Empire and G.U.N., with Sonic and friends, with shadow among them being caught in that war. It could even be a full on Shadow movie and have Sonic and friends be on the side of G.U.N.

You know what would be kind of cool? If some actors that have been announced plays the Chaotix. I doubt they’ll be in it, but it would be pretty awesome.

The new logo is incredible, like it has live and learn, tho whether it’s gonna be in the actual movie or not who knows, I know many will go chaos if not. The casting is looking pretty good from the sounds of it, very happy Jim carry is back for eggman would be weird if he wasn’t, especially if eggman was replaced or missing in this adventure 2 story. Real hype 💙❤️
