I never noticed until now, the lasers actually target you on Team Dark depending on the rails your on. Team Sonic and Chaotix was freestyled.

@@Prince_Icarus Of course. Metal Sonic thinks he is superior to Sonic because he thinks Sonic is just a cheap copy of himself. But Shadow is the so-called "ultimate lifeform", so it would just be illogical to think he's superior to that.

Gotta say, I miss games like this. Especially the attention to detail. They literally stop time after using their Team Blast evident by the clock literally stopping. That’s like the coolest thing to me.

Omega: Four laser cannons detected! Shadow: Four lasers, what a waste! Rouge: Total of twelve lasers. Better stay frosty!

Fun fact: if time and space are frozen after using team blast you can stop it early by pressing the z button as the gauge is restarting.

OK, but this theme goes undeniably hard

I didn’t realize until I was older the reason Team Dark levels I died the most on was because they are basically the hard mode of the game (or very hard)

Shadow Ultimate99 it's team Dark, it's SUPPOSED to be hard

Funny how despite Sonic being his mortal arch enemy, Eggman (or in this case Metal) still take Shadow and team Dark more seriously. I mean Shadow won't let them off with just a moral about the power of friendship and a "don't do that again".

Great job! It was so hard getting an A rank on this level took me so long but you did AWESOME! I wasn't aware of all the shortcuts on this level. Great video!

If im being completely honest. Final Fortress in Team Dark mode is hard af, i mean yeah sure Team Dark is basically Hard Mode of the game, but this is beyond hard. I died over 20 times as of recently and 18 of them were either things that came out of nowhere unpredictably, the large knockback from getting hit, the short timed fly guage for rouge, or me slipping and falling everytime i press the b button using Omega in those damned hammer egg pawns

90% of the times I died was because of fall death

This stage should have be on Sonic Generations but they did'nt included. A 2D version of this stage would have been so much fun

NeoKurow But hard to recreate, because of all the grind rails, enemies and it being fully 3D. Not to mention the level is 8 to 10 minutes or so.

Emm.... starting on left or right rail would do a trick since on team Dark those lasers are locked onto you automatically

From what I experimented by playing a this level recently, the lasers seem to appear based on where your position is, like triggers in specific points of the rails, so it's best to go slower in that part, that way the first laser disappears and you have time to switch rails before you get to the trigger for the second laser

god i hate this level. it just doesn't know when to stop

Say if some of you don’t know. I found out what the Final Fortress is. Is A Giant Whale Shark Shaped Battle Flagship. So maybe it is a Star Dreadnought like Ship.

I was trying to go for the last Chaos Emerald with Team dark and I raged soooooo much on this level

I find it weird that just like how It gives you the full level of Bullet Station, they tell you how many laser cannons are in this level in the Team Dark story, unlike the Team Sonic story!

Egg Fleet and Final Fortress are probably some of the funnest sonic levels in history. The fact that the game made these levels actually hard as the final levels, in comparison to games that succeeded it. Yeah, you have the hard mode, but it’s a pretty bullshit mode to actually get (all A ranks)

+Tyshon Hall Actually , it's "worthless consumer models" . He means the Eggman robots .

How the heck did I get an A ranking when I spent 19 minutes on this level?

I was so proud i was doing good in this one until the lasers at the end, i keep having trouble with that last big one

Fun Fact: I was today years old when I found out that you can press Z to cancel time being frozen after team darks team blast

Thanks to this level both my GameCube controller and my Wii have learned how to fly

**the fighter squad of brads attacks the Super Capital ship**

If it weren't for the broken controls and a few glitches, this level would've been less hard. Also, how can you beat this level in almost 7 minutes but my time was 12-13 minutes long and I still haven't beaten this level yet! 🤯😒

Getting the A rank is actually really easy for each team. Like for team sonic it took me 12 minutes and i ended with 0 rings but still got the a rank because the amount of points needed are so generous that you just need to explore the level and kill anything you see and you’ll be fine. The issue is everything in one go. Because if u die at any point, your score will reset

I always get a B rank in this level with team dark.

Press B and move the control stick forward

This level will force you to use team blast when you're not ready

This might be the hardest sonic level I have ever completed.

For some reason I always thought This as a safer level than Egg Fleet(which is the kinda “Act1” of this “sky High” levels while Final Fortress is Act2)…

Worst stage ever

this stage is literally trash. Full of bs mechanics and buggy platforming. I died 12 times and all at least 11 of them were from something i literally could not predict at all.

I lost my last life on the final stretch of rails because of how inconsistent grind stepping in I don't hate this game, but anyone who tries to defend the physics hasn't played it in recent memory
