Well, the purple aura with sonic does make a bit of sense too. He's using the energy of the purple orb to power up after all.

Also, I love the fact that I can hear Metal Sonic making his computer noises (I think they're adorable). Plus it almost makes you feel like you really are watching a Metal Sonic game.

Archie super neo metal is better

This whole mod is basically just a universe where Sonic actually dies, but Metal gets the 'Iron Giant' treatment and decides to take Sonic's place as the "Fastest Thing Designed".... and I'm all for it. Especially that Classic Neo Metal Sonic mod. That's just cute.

I like how Shard (Metal Sonic 3.0) is the rivals and villan boss fight seeing as how Shard is a heroic metal sonic.

While design wise Metal 3.0 and Shard look the same, they are completely different characters, due to M3.0 having taken inspiration from Shard's design. Metal 3.0 originats from the game Sonic Rivals, while Shard comes from the Archie Comics. 3.0 was created by a descended of Eggamn who thinks that Eggamn has brought shame to the family name and wants to prove himself as the diffinitive Robotnic (which he fails to do, thanks to Metal outperforming Metal 3.0 in most aspects). Shard was a new form of the original Metal Sonic built by Sonic's uncle Chuck inorder to give Metal a chance at life, since he was self aware unlike Eggman's other creations, which happened after Metal sacrificed himself to save Sonic and Tails.
