Its something with the sonic the hedgehog engine where you have to be in a certain spot for the assests to load and he skipped that spot so they didnt load or render

These levels are massive and entertaining.

The improvements over previous runs are looking really promising, keep up the great work! At 13:27 you can do an extra hop to unlock your airboost, and if you jump and airboost to the springs without touching the ground behind the trip bar at 16:37 then you should be able to airboost afterwards. Still, this was a very solid run :)

Iv'e been wondering for a long while why I sometimes can't airboost there, this will be really helpful! Also, I still didn't found the time to practice the thing you suggested me on twitch, so I didn't use it here yet :P

No problem, just sharing a few hints I thought could help! So when you airboost into those dash panels at 13:26 the game won't reset your airboost until you jump and land on the ground again. If you do a quick hop after going through the dash panels, you can airboost when you jump over that ledge at 13:28

Now this is what i call a speed run. I love it man.

In a Sonic game, you have one objective; run. And this guy is demonstrating just that.

4:08 wow I have been playing gens a lot (I even 100% the game) and never knew that there was a light speed dash right there. Shows how much was really put into this game

I'll never have the patience to memorize that much of planet wisp

Every time I see this, I get chills and inspiration.

I was never the type to speed run, but my goodness is this man a legend! He stops at nothing to get a good record, even if he messes up a bit or even if it costs him to break the game.

You got some killer moves! it most took a looot of practice but ya did it! Again Great job!

The speed run on the second map was incredibly scary

all of these took two weeks AND THIS GUY FINISHES IT IN 17 MINUTES

Person: sonic the world is being destroyed- Sonic: gimme 45 mins

These stages still last longer than any in Sonic forces

my jaw is dropped, I have been playing this game since it came out. I am super impressed and might use some of these strategies on my future runs

May i ask, why the order? Is it most difficult first so you don't waste alot of time when resetting? Edit: You don't need to awnser i found another comment asking this.

This is what I loved about generations you could do things like this without limits like invisi-walls

Low prob someone answers this but what is the reason for the order shouldnt it be faster if you do all the stages you need certain skills first so you dont lose time changing them every stage?

Nostalgia for the last great modern sonic game. Even though it was very poorly written, the gameplay was great for classic and modern sonic. Bosses were awesome too. Damn time flies by quick considering when this came out

No character development, jokes don’t land, it’s not that sonic stories never had that. Sa2, shadow the hedgehog had character development at least.
