As someone who violently convulses in disgust at the mere mention of Sonic Forces, this is one of the most impressive Sonic game mods. I still think Sonic Forces controls like utter garbage tho, but at least the Overclocked levels are a hella lot more fun

Anyone notice how this fight combines elements of Infinite's 1st fight, Infinite's 3rd fight/Metal Sonic's fight, and the Virtual Reality level. It has the basic concept of the first fight, chasing down the opponent while avoiding the constructs he creates to catch up and hit him, but on STEROIDS!!! It has the use of copies as human shields. Infinite even uses a souped up version of his attack where he has two walls of cubes try to smash you. Like Virtual Reality it is basically an obstacle course level in the guise of a boss(although it's an actual boss here). Instead of the constructs dragging you into an illusion, the whole fight is an illusion and you simply take damage. Also, while a lot of the constructs are generated on the spot like in Infinite's proper fights, the others are generated in advance Like in Virtual Reality. Like in the Final Infinite/Metal Sonic fight they use the Ruby's power to spawn enemies to slow you down(Implemented way better here). It's also a tag team fight and finishes with a double boost.

So Infinite Absorbed the power of the Phantom Ruby, probably cause it was overclocked and he’s been pushing it to its limits

Decided to go back for an S rank! Merry Christmas Everyone! Sidenote: usually a remixed version of Fist Bump plays in the credits, but It keeps getting Copyright claimed so I changed it to OG forces Credit music.

Tbh, I wished that they used the Chaos Emeralds for this fight. It was like that there wasn’t a difference in power for Infinite and Neo at all.

I believe there IS a way to use Super Sonic during this battle, which makes more sense to me (unfortunately that means you don’t get to hear the final boss theme very much). He just drops out of it at the very end to use Double Boost.

Great as this mod is, it's kinda sad to see what we could've gotten with Forces if things were different

I CANNOT express how much I love this unofficial DLC. Yes, I know it's a mod but this was in the works for 3 - 4 years and it opened up my love for Sonic Forces. The back and forth between Neo and Infinite is a lovely treat, not to mention Sonic's two cents he throws in. Side note: i didn't know that the final section has two different parts. If you go left, you face off against Infinite but if you go right, you face off against Neo. Really cool touch

Infinite seems different from the original story and I love it

I can already see certain IDW fans coming in and crying about this story, but honestly I don’t mind it. This mod has been in the works since IDW was still at the start of the Metal Virus Arc, and the main point is it’s FUN. Who cares if it doesn’t fit in with the canon, Forces is fun now.

I personally prefer Neo Metal Sonic's story here. Mostly because his shining moment doesn't come at the expense of the Resistance's and Knuckles' apparent stupidity of letting Angel Island left unguarded for the duration of the war

The animation on Infinite and Neo Metal ARE SO GOOD

This is quite an ambitious mod. The level design looks a little too messy and overwhelming but nonetheless I am extremely impressed! This and the Project Shadow short film... This fanbase is dedicated and can do anything when they put their minds to it, just like Sonic!

I do agree that Super Sonic was needed here to make it perfect, but I’m pretty sure the only reason they actually lost outside of gameplay bs was because their power source was destroyed, as well as their awful teamwork.

So did neo metal revert because he no longer had the phantom ruby or because Infinite did something? I would like to think it's because of Infinite as he gets an aura around himself like he still has some of the phantom ruby's power just before Neo changes back.

Imagine if Sonic found out why Infinite acts the way he does apparently Shadow called him weak and instigated all of this according to my knowledge correct me if I am wrong wouldn't Sonic be joining Infinite and kicking Shadows ass instead? If you look at the story of Infinite it's actually quite silly all this because Shadow called Infinite weak as a pacifist and antagonist I can understand why Infinite is acting the way he is he was basically bullied by Shadow during his mission I can't remember what it was but I could be wrong entirely.

A game with no Eggman boss fight, while eggman was in the game. If i had a nickle of how many times this happen, it'd be two. I know its not alot, buts it's strange to see no boss fight eggman.
