The only reason Tails is in Sonic CD is, that he is a playable character. He is not story-related in this game.

I played the decompiled version, for the sharp pixels. Unfortunately, the Steam & Consoles version have a weird blur filter on the game, as well as Sonic Origins.

No, it isn't. What I did is basically 7 Playtroughs of Sonic CD, for recording for each Character one Zone. Then I put it all together to one Playtrough with all Characters.
