0:40 These emeralds are originally from Sonic Rush, and they are analogs of chaos emeralds in alternative dimension 1:58 This spindash is from Sonic CD. I have no idea, why they changed it in this game. 2:53 These bonus stages are from Sonic 1 on Sega Master System or Game Gear, sega 8-bit handhelds. These stages didn't gave chaos emeralds, only rings, lives and continues. 7:44 Sonic made a Super Peel-Out, an ability from Sonic CD. Try press "Jump" when holding "Up". This give you more speed then spindash. Also recommend you play Sonic Megamix.

Definitely continue this game.

A little bit of insight. The Special Stage theme and the like is reminiscent of Sonic 1 on Game Gear. Also Metal Sonic's theme is here from Sonic 4 Episode 2. And I want to see another episode. (Omg these typos are gonna be the death of me)

I like to see you continue the game it looks like it is really fun. The bonus levels are definitely easier than sonic 2 and probably sonic 1.

That “new” minigame actually had its origins at Sonic 1 SMS, its a good game, I’d recommend you try it out.

Cool an Sonic hack... always brings back my childhood. It would of been a cool power if Sonic had fire power within the game, like when he spun he could set things a light, though that would made him to powerful. I loved the neat mini game and mega Crab rocked , loved Metal Sonic. I always wish they tried harder with Sonic like Mario, more with world building ect. its just a shame now Sonic just doesn't live much anymore. Thank you for the hot video, so nostalgic for me to see Sonic, he was the first game i played before I meet Nintendo and Mario. Thank you .

(1:17) I was hoping you'd actually pronounce that "hedhegog" typo the way it is written there, but I guess maybe you didn't even notice it. That typo aside, this hack seems really neat so far, and I like the usage of enlarged enemies for mid-bosses, and the bonus stages being based off of the 8-bit (Master System / Game Gear) versions of Sonic 1.

I hope we get an episode 2 of this

Tried out this rom hack. It is hard, but at least not as hard as the original Sonic the Hedgehog. Boiling Labyrinth was easy to be honest, but the biggest hurdle I faced there was Act 1’s boss, M. Burrobot. And man, was Molten Brain super duper hard. I finished it. And to be honest again, this was what I expected Sonic 1 to be, excluding the peel-out and the fiery theme. And so I arrange all bosses from hardest: 1. Molten Brain Act 1 (semi-final boss) 2. Boiling Labyrinth Act 1 (M. Burrobot) 3. Roasting Marble boss 4. Molten Brain Act 2 (final boss) 5. Boiling Labyrinth Act 3 (Aqua Metal Sonic) 6. Fire Light Act 2 (Bigbom) 7. Flame Yard Act 1 (M. Yadrin) 8. Boiling Labyrinth boss 9. Roasting Marble Act 1 (M. Basaran) 10. Burning Hill boss 11.
