+Tony Hoevel he is sadly right :( if SEGA flips the bird to the sonic boom games and focus on the main canon sonic, we could get amazing games IF they listen to their fans and dont experiement too much :) pls make it happen SEGA.....we want another adventure , heroes or generations, so the least you can do as a game company is listen to your fans and try to make it happen.

***** I dont HATE sonic boom for its glitches IN FACT i enjoyed sonic 06. What i hate about sonic boom, is the boring combat system, its the bland hub world, its how BORING and POOR Sonic Boom ROL is.....FROM MY PERSPECTIVE. That was one of the best parts in Lost World in ??? Minutes, especially when Sonic just watched Eggman apparently fall to his death and just laughs about the McNosehair joke a few seconds later.

I love how incomprehensibly badass Shadow is in Boom and the cartoon, and how little it matters.

I love how LYRIC is the one who lost it halfway through. Like even though he's cast as the villain, in reality all the actors are suffering together. The main characters were able to hang on, either by indifference, disgust, or insanity, but even though Lyric was the most in-character the whole time, and the most believable, he's the one who just couldn't TAKE it anymore. XD

The 25th anniversary game? I have no idea what it could possibly be, but I don't think it should be Generations 2. The first one had little to no substance in terms of story and character, so how could you possibly follow that up?

Lyric was a serious villain in Rise Of Lyric, but was kind of a joke in Shattered Crystal. Why did he put a mind reading helmet on Amy, only to argue with Amy, instead of turning the device on!?

Ironically Shadow's character started to really go downhill after 06 until he was forgotten and then brought back for nostalgia sake just to be ruined completely. You know something is really wrong when the majority of animators can portray him better than the today's development team.

I like how he uses a full sentence in subtitles despite them being cut off at random times. Doesn't ruin the surprise.

2:50, the single laugh is just brilliant. It's hard not to laugh with him. Also, cheers for successfully creating an original joke about Knuckle's redesign with his head always being off screen. I've gotten so sick of people making the whole "steroids" joke over and over. Finally, the joke done in an original way. These "Sonic In Minutes" videos keep getting better and better.

Mr. Brock Lee Not only are drug jokes completely not my style, but the parodies are deliberetly designed that the characters are exagerations of how they were in the original game (or sometimes just represent a general theme of the story). Bringing up drugs or steroids or whatever would just distract and derail the Satire with the punchline becoming merely "Drugs= Lol" rather then over-exagerating my observations and blowing the characters up to see what they really do to a story or the experience.

Uncle Grandpa I do admit does not keep up with the pilot episodes that were made. But Uncle grandpa isnt all that bad. Its more of a mixed bag with the episodes, but I can easily tell the people who made the series are having fun with that Mad Lib series. I don't hate uncle grandpa, but I do admit it could be better. Secret fort is DUUUUUUMB and I did loss IQ points from that show... one of the worse that was made. Not as bad as problem solverz but that show is the lowest bar you can set

The best part is most of these jokes aren't parody jokes at the expense of the game, things like the yoke joke were actually in the game

And people complained that Rise Of Lyric had terrible writing, and an awful story!? This video flat out spells out why I thought Shattered Crystal's story was terrible. It started out great, but had a fallen flat conclusion. One of my biggest complaints in the game's story, is how pointless it was for Lyric to put a mind control device on Amy. We clearly saw him use it on Shadow to manipulate Shadow's mind, yet what does he do with the one he put on Amy? He does nothing with it!? He doesn't turn it on, he just keeps tormenting Amy to tell him what he wants?! What was the point of all of that!? He had a mind control helmet, which he was going to use to have her tell him what he wants, but he doesn't bother activating it?! Big plot hole...

In the end, Sonic set free all of the wisps, and defeated Eggman, which foiled his plans for brainwashing the whole planet. There was no excuse to Lyric's lack of carrying out his plans. The game gave me the impression that Amy was likely trapped somewhere unconscious, while her memories were being analyzed for Lyric. Instead, he just had Amy trapped in some energy ball, and kept demanding she tell him what he wants to know... What was the point of that mind reading device, if he didn't bother using it!? He even told Sonic in a way, that he's making progress with searching through Amy's brain for the answers he needs, yet he didn't even come close to that! He just had Amy caged in an energy ball, and kept tormenting her to spill the beans...

***** They kind of explained that scene a bit though, they made it clear Tails broke himself free earlier in the game, and he only disguised himself as a robot to fool the Deadly Six, into thinking their plan worked. It fooled Sonic, but it didn't fool the players.

I actually HATE how the Wii U version of Boom portrayed Shadow, the way he sort of just stalks Sonic and tries to out-do him at every turn rather than just doing his own thing It's like they're turning him into Dark Pit.

Dark Pit was a much better character than Shadow ever was. Shadow was only really interesting in Sonic Adventure 2, and even then it sounded like they were trying to make him far more serious than he should be. Dark Pit questions Pit's loyalty to Palutena and how he listens to her every command. In Sonic Boom, Shadow just says YOU HAVE FRIENDS THAT'S BAD I'M GONNNA KILL YOU

The animation and voice acting were really great in this one. I especially like the people who voiced Knuckles and Lyric. It sounded like the voice actor for Knuckles was taking a dump everytime he read a line. The animations of lyric's face when he spoke were so funny too! You're recent parodies have been really top notch. Your 06 in minutes video was really well done. Nice subtle allusion to your next dissected episode.

You can get it on the Wii U if you have it. I am thinking about the same thing actually because I only played all the Wii games through an emulator... ***** Why would I bother getting a Wii if I have a Wii U? I dont know about how the backwards compatibility works when it comes to the Gamecube stuff but I dont really care that much anyway because I played all of the stuff you have on your mind (almost every Sonic game out there) on either my 360 or PC. The older games arent a problem at all to emulate.

This actually happened in _Sonic Boom:Shattered Crystal_ Shadow did get mind controlled by Lyric. He got into a fight with Sonic and Friends and they managed to break the device controlling him and he went ballistic. Where, at the end of the game, he came out of nowhere, beat the shit out of lyric and left the story.

(sarcasm alert)We can all thank Pontac and Graff everyone, these are the people that will lead us into a new era of nothing but sitcom comedy, I mean I could just feel the emotion from the plain crashing scene, that was so good it was almost realistic, and these are the people that are writing are Sega cannon games, isn't that wonderful, like the tails doll granted us all the sunshine and pingas we could have. Bravo guys, bravo. Oh and see how I put sarcasm alert warning when I am being sarcastic, that's ironic!

I wanted Sonic Team to start using the other characters again, but if Pontac and Graff are going to be writing every game, keep the other characters as far away as possible! Spare them from the never-ending flanderization into unfunny joke-tellers!

last time i checked sonic fans asked for light hearted stories..

I *HATE* how people think Sonic's doomed, dead, whatever just because Sonic Boom, a SINGLE game that's also a *SPIN-OFF* game. The only way Sonic could actually die, is a horrible MAIN SERIES sonic game, like Sonic '06 but with more glitches and a worse story.

Leaf Sonic '06 didn't kill the series either. Far as I'm concerned, it's a matter of reputation and money. Sonic can survive a bad game as long as it's preceded/ followed by a succesful one. Sonic 06 had the hugely succesful Heroes and decent selling Shadow flanking it and was followed by the succesful Unleashed, so it's damage is minor. Sonic Boom had the decent selling Generations but very mediocore selling Lost world before it, so is on more shakey grounds. The only way spin offs remain under the table is when they're on hand helds (Mostly because handheld games are a blindspot anyway, spin off or not.) The average Joe on the streets doesn't know Sonic boom's a spin off. It hardly says it on the box. It's not advertised as one. It's only mentioned in interviews or special Q&A's for fans. So producers and non-Sonic fans will just treat it like another game.

Roger van der Weide i said school BULLY, but still you remain awesome as always, i'm trying to word this in a way that doesn't seem tedious or rude because i can be bad with words, but i thought they planned keep shadow the same but from what i've seen from both games he seems against the idea of having any friends as where normal shadow even though he was a loner had plenty of friends, and boom shadow seems to wanna pick on sonic and put him down. as where normal shadow seems to mainly fight sonic because he feels sonic is in his way

Anyway, in Rise of Lyric I'd agree with you, but in the 3ds game he's too occupied with Lyric and being angry that he was brainwashed that he doesn't really talk to Sonic personally. He's just a guy on a mission who doesn't needs Sonic there. So in the 3ds game he's alright. Just in the Wii U game where he's a complete buffoon. Or School bully.

Roger van der Weide i thought that might be the case i just had to be sure =3 good point i look at boom shadow as a whole i didn't think to look at them separately, i kinda figured they was the same guy but the lyric thing on the handheld being that he is more focused on that specific goal makes plenty of sense, shadow is still awesome its just boom shadow is not quite the same still being awesome but being more of (well i can't think of the word but i think you get where i'm going)

well you have to count sonic and sega all stars racing and sonic and sega all stars racing transformed. also sonic 4 was okay. sonic 4 episode II fixed most of sonic 4's problems so it was even better. and sonic's been on the mobile market lately too. sonic dash is solid sonic jump is also solid, sonic runners looks pretty fun and so on and so forth. well i could go on but you get the idea.

It's so disappointing what this generation has been exposed to. Dear lord when will they learn? Teen Titans Go, PPG 2016, Sonic Boom? I wish I knew who was making all these GREAT ideas.

Steven Universe, Gravity Falls, Wander Over Yandere, Star vs. Forces of Evil... Update: Sonic Boom TV Show is great. Teen Titans Go or PPG 2016 can learn a thing or two from it, because Sonic Boom doesn't make every main character a jerk or an asshole; they are relatable, they aren't just a punching bag for jokes; they are heroes; their core personalities are kept in check; they DON'T USE MEMES AND POP CULTURE REFERENCES FOR THE SAKE OF MEMES OR POP CULTURE REFERENCES etc. I do must admit, what Knuckles is the only character who was completely rewritten (poor, poor Knuckles, I mean, Bob). It's sad, but it was expected. He was already considered a dumb idiot in-universe by some people and he was always portrayed that way in parodies. Hey, atleast he has a very good voice and if the jokes aren't dragged and you forget about AWESOME and COOL Knuckles he can be funny and he isn't annoying. Seriosly, comparing Sonic Boom to TTG or PPG16 is disgraceful. Sonic Boom is a good show. It's just different, because it's just a sitcom with Sonic characters. A sitcom with action and cartoon logic, so it makes it even more interesting. We had AOSTH, Satam, OVA, Underground and X (Sonic the Comic and Sonic Archie). Every one of this show had a different tone and ideas. Sonic Boom is a good show. It's not brilliant, but it's good.

My favourite part was Shadow's appearance, since you have all the other characters still acting like a (terrible) sitcom, but he's there beating up Lyric while that's happening. Followed by Lyric going "Snakes don't have hands!" Then immediately attacking with his hand.

I defended Pontac & Graff in Lost World and Colors, but now... DAMN, not even M. Night Shyamalan had such a decadence in writing. Roger, the next time you meet Pontac (if he has the courage to come out again, that is) tell him he lost one of his -few- supporters with this atrocity called Shattered Crystal..

I like how knuckles face was nonexistent

Watching this because I just beat Shattered Crystal and my god, this is fairly accurate to what the game's writing is like

accurate. the 'shadows' pun was exceptionally dumb

It was also coming off of the notions of the past 4~6 sonic games being bad, since, yknow, dark age of sonic and all that... During the time it was just perceived as another lame storybook game, in and out. But I think now we can actually look back on it and see it for what it is, now that *that* dark age is pretty much past us. Though the sword gimmicks do get in the way of the gameplay, and it's kinda monotonous overall...

story and OST wise its epic&good gameplay is a mess there are lots of bugs and glitches and the wii controller is a pain to use since its not responsive sometime

Shadow's basically the only sane and straight to the point person in the Sonic Boom Universe.

I like how this video ends, especially now with Sonic being good again. Plus it's abottently accurate to shattered crystals, great stuff.
