@@amytheprettyweirdfangirl3786 actually Roger went on a podcast and explained his reasoning. It was mainly due to the fact he felt his time was up and he didn’t feel right living in LA anymore. He’s heading into his 50’s and wanted to explore new places, do and try new things, and see new places. On the more technical side tho, he did mention how weird the industry can be and he mentioned a bit of backlash. Overall I think he was just tired. Just wants to be free and go wherever he wants to go......just like Sonic

You said it yourself. Boom's writing makes him perfect. But that's the only place where he fits, because this show doesn't take itself seriously. Sonic games try to be at least mildly serious and Sonic making a quirky joke every 2nd sentence really breaks that

​@@ot8983 personally I disagree because the newer games (aside from frontiers) are written specifically with the younger audience in mind, and a lot of the jokes are meant to be just that - for the (much younger) target audience, so regardless of the voice actor, sonic making jokes in a serious setting will feel out of place. which is why frontiers is one of the games where Roger really works as Sonic. theres only the occasional joke here or there, and otherwise things are taken extremely seriously by the cast

I have a recommendation for you "Helluva Boss" all it's episodes are on KZread Also Hazbin hotel is too I guess but we have to wait for it to be released enjoy the pilot though

I love how sarcastic (or how big of a mood) Sonic is in Boom. He said some of the best lines ever in the franchise

boom is honestly one of my fave versions of all these characters. especially sonic. he's so grouchy and i absolutely love it
