As Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group marks its 95th anniversary, the Post spoke with company vice-chairman Sonia Cheng about the Hong Kong brand’s first-ever business transformation. Cheng, who is also the executive director of New World Development, offered a look at the firm’s latest jewellery collection as she discussed her ambitions including a goal to bring the group into the Asean market and beyond. Cheng spoke about how she divides up work running the operation with her cousin and fellow vice-chairman Conroy Cheng, and about her views regarding gender diversity in executive leadership.

The news narrator should know how to pronounce Chinese last names properly and not in the incorrect way that English speakers pronounce them! I can overlook it for Western news outlets, but South China should use the proper pronunciation.

They are using Cantonese influenced accents not Mandarin, they are Cantonese so it’s not incorrect just different.
