I feel that he should've talked about the legal side of songwriting, just so we get all the points. But I really enjoyed these sessions. Greetings from the Dominican Republic.

I think I need to rewrite some of my songs especially the verses.

I appreciate your lifelong commitment in bringing songs to us. Your songs are anointed and can melt the hardest hearts. You are my sifu. I am determined to learn and commit the same.

On the subject of rewriting... I once got an entire chorus while vacuuming, it just "came to me". So I worked on a couple of verses, wasn't super excited about them, but I had that chorus. I brought it to the band I was in, basically a bunch of mates who liked to play and sometimes did dates locally, usually under a different moniker every time. I digress. My friend listened to the song and said, "the verses I like, but you need a different chorus." He was right of course, and he's one of my very dearest friends to this day.
