I went to a wedding for a friend that was in a band and was marrying someone else in the band. Yes, the band was set up at the reception (one of their criteria for the venue). I do play, but didn't bring an instrument.

The song “It’s The End Of The World As We Know It” was originally done by R.E.M. but Canadian band Great Big Sea did their own cover of that song and when I went to sleep away camp we would have dances every Friday night and the Great Big Sea version of the song was a staple song at almost every dance I actually heard the Great Big Sea version before hearing the original R.E.M. version
