I understand materially, among other things people have much less but to say he came from NOTHING implies negativity and completely takes any good things in the township such as the people and his family out of the equation. +imtheheretic666 , It was bigger then the bike. It was about pushing and believing in what you want. and most of all it was opening up a new possibility for other black guys who wanted to ride downhill or race mtb for that matter. it was alot bigger then the kid but more about the future. And like the other guy wrote in the comments, if you understand the history of SOUTH AFRICA then you will understand why it had to happen. THEOPHILLUS NGUBANE.

what the history like the culling of white people the white people who tried helping them and put alot of infrastructure in and if you’re on about history as well then the whole planet should be looked at this way because there has been a lot of thing happen around the world you know besides in south Africa and as well like i said just because of where he is from or the colour of his skin it should make a difference like you said he wanted to do it so he did so then why is he getting so much for it when that what alot of people do from around the world have to do to get where they want to be but i thought that was just common sense like,
