Chance is so much more versatile than many people give him credit for. He has a balladeers voice that brings a story to life in his song. He collaborates with Hound and Fox, and their voices compliment each other beautifully.

Chance is my favorite from Home Free, they all have fantastic voices but Adam Chance's voice is smooth.. you should check out , If I Could Fly, and His collaboration with Hound and Fox, two songs Wayfaring Stranger and Whistling Lad

I love this song. I don’t know why Chance’s solo work doesn’t have more views. I don’t know if you know of Gordon Lightfoot (a master storyteller with his songs); Chance reminds me sooo much of him, in style and tone. In this song in particular I hear Lightfoot’s voice and delivery. For more wonderful Chance solos, “Far From Any Road”, with Adam Rupp providing percussion and bass guitar, and a female guest whose voice sounds great with Chance. “Driver’s License “, “Pancho and Lefty”. Of course there are still HF Chance leads-“I Can’t Outrun You “,5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. “Cover Me Up”, and let it play out as there is a surprise at the end. “Yours”, “Some Girls Do”. More 5 part harmony with “Helplessly Hoping”, another Chance project, and he leads off.

I wasn't sure about Chance at first. Until I heatd a few songs and saw him interact with the guys of Home Free. I figured out my feelings weren't about him but about change. He really has a beautiful voice and i found out he is a really good writer. Thanks for the reaction.

This is a great original song by Chance. He is a very talented songwriter & singer. His voice suits this style of music. I can see some Gordon Lightfoot in him as well as some other folk rock singers. Great lyrics & clever editing of the video.

Beautiful song with great lyrics and sung so beautifully and sensitively. In any case, there is something about Adam Chance's voice that really touches me. And even though Tim and Austin's solo albums are great, I don't have them on my playlist. But I do have a few from Adam Chance. Just like this song. Yes, sometimes you can have a very nice house, but then it doesn't have to be a home. I speak from experience.

It's impossible to describe Adam's voice. Even when he is singing full out there is a slight something in the voice that suggests melancholy or exhaustion. The little bit of breathiness he employs - not too much, just more air escaping than most singers allow - takes away any smoothness and the slight "inward" quality always gives the impression of thoughts set to music or of a man recounting things half-forgotten heard long ago. Though when he sings full out with the band, he has a sweet bass baritone. Actually I prefer his bass to Tim's. Adam himself is a bit of a mystery. He rides a large motor bike and has an encyclopaedic knowledge of rock music, but is also the writer and intellectual of the group, as well as its sea captain. People think he's just quiet but he has a sense of humour just as goofy as Austin's. I really started to appreciate him when I saw the band in concert last year - he is much more prominent live than recorded. The rest of the band were exhausted (apart from Adam Rupp, who appeared to be subsisting on energy supplements in Europe, and who gave a stupendous performance) but Adam Chance looked cheerful and full of enthusiasm (his wife's arrival from the US may have had something to do with it). Adam is due to release an album this year, so we need to watch out for that. In the meantime, I thoroughly recommend his version of "Wandering Stranger" with the Hound and the Fox, and also "Pancho and Lefty", a much-covered song by Townes van Zandt, which Adam fills with mystery and his unrivalled story-telling.
