I wish the Mridangam was milder for a song like Hechariga ga Ra.. where the composer is asking Raama to come slowly.. with caution.. it’s a really emotive song. The Mridangam is a little disturbing sometimes in my opinion. Neyveli Sir’s neraval is nevertheless awesome!!

I have heard many performances of neyveli in early 2000s was when he was in his elements. I have heard many of his inspired concerts at mysore ganesha festival where he was a regular- with Nagraj, manju msg and chandrasekharan..There was so much soukhyam in his singing that it was hard to believe he was a tns shisya.
