Sonesta suites hotel Scottsdale 2 bedroom 2 bathroom
This is a tour and room description of the Sonesta suites on Scottsdale Road between MacDonald and Lincoln. This is easily confused with other properties like it and nearby. This particular property just changed over from previously being a Marriott Residence Inn at 6040 North Scottsdale Road. I have many happy memories at staying in the old Scottsdale Residence Inn at MacDonald Drive / North Scottsdale Road at the turn of the millennium and it has been almost 20 years since I last stayed and I have been eager to return as soon as I can, certainly affected by nostalgia! I have heard some mixed reviews from some people claiming it is not the same caliber as before, surely it must still be as good? Would be great to see a bit more of the area such as the pool and basketball court that was in the center. Hope I can stay next year.

As you know this was never a resort so the property is still very much the same and the pool is very simple but clean. All of the rooms were recently redecorated shortly before it turned into a Sonesta. So the rooms are very fresh and clean and updated.

@@destinationsbydelcastillo2437 That is good to hear! It is just I heard from some people I know in Arizona giving negative feedback and one claimed he even checked out after one night! Hope that is all only hearsay and that it still looks and feels the same. The booking.com reviews this year looked mostly positive like an 8/10 average.

We would say what is special about this property is the location and the price and the fact that the rooms are very simple and freshly renovated. But really, there's nothing else. It has no resort amenities at all.. They still have a complimentary breakfast and coffee but at the moment, it is a grab and go. There's nothing terribly special about the pool or the service. However, you cannot beat the price for the amount of space you get or the location in Scottsdale.

@@destinationsbydelcastillo2437 Hopefully the gran and go breakfast is only a temporary thing in the current circumstances that will soon be phased out. As long as the service is good and reliable and friendly and the pool is well kept and the social area and atrium can be lively again like before then hopefully it will feel like I have never been away after all these years.
Do you know if they all have 2 bathrooms?

This video featured the 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit. Be sure to reserve the same room type if 2 baths are important to you. I think all the old and current Residence Inns with 2 bedroom have 2 baths. Not sure about the Sonestas. The video does show both baths.
