I'm an only girl with four brothers. My dad is past now but even into his 80s and me in my 40s, he would make sure I got home safe from work, or even after happy hour with coworkers on Friday. He still called me his "baby girl". He was my Hero.

Some men/fathers rape , molest, beat and murder their daughters in the name of religion or in the name of egotism. All men should follow what Michael Yo said. There is no greater mission in life than to protect his daughters and wife. I know he was joking about not being able to kill for his wife and son, but I hope ALL men , brothers, uncles, and grandfathers will make it their mission to protect their women because it is so true that men and boys are the most dangerous people to women and girls. Just watch what happens around the globe.

I used to be bullied by my niece. The situation is somewhat similar, the difference is that I was only fifteen days older and one and a half feet taller. My grandmother always wanted a daughter but got two sons and five grandsons so she just favored her. Currently, I like her, she's nice. But when I was younger she had a tendency to always play the victim and obviously, everyone believed her. I faced this problem through the entirety of middle school, until people FINALLY started noticing that I'm not an agressive guy. I she was my classmate for about three years, and was nice to be arround. She did have a habit of constantly comparing herself to me, which I didn't like. Don't get me wrong, both of us had very good scores. but she just was very passive agressive about it. But that isn't my problem with her. I still like her very much. My problem with her, is the special treatment she gets. In some cases I get it. Her family is signifficantly poorer and had to move to basically the other side of the country. My problem doesn't excactly lie with her. It lies with how her parents treat her compared to her brother. Whilst their parents had to move to another part of the country (which by the way, spoke French and not Dutch, our native language.) she got to stay with our grandmother and he got to move. He also wasn't entirely wanted and sort of treated him like that. It was impossible for her to do anything wrong, whilst he always had to be annoying. He didn't get that much attention, so he started seeking negative attention, which made it even worse. Meanwhile, here at school, she constantly talks about the bad things he does (which once again are often accurate) but never about how he is getting an A+ on every test and already has a lot friends that speak an entirely different language and is perfectly fluent in English without an accent. She was always in the spotlight, going to an amazing school, living with her grandmother always helping her (and getting a lot of gifts), constantly being in contact with the family and studying so good. I personally don't dislike her, but I feel sad for her brother. Me and my brother bought him a minecraft account so that we can play together. I try to interact with him as much as possible. Because although my niece is far away from the stressfull and bad situation her parents are in, he lives in the middle of it and doesn't have someone to talk to.

Good for you as you support your nephew. If it doesn't kill him, he will be stronger for the adversity and she will be weaker because of the favoritism. Hopefully, he doesn't resent his sister for decisions made by the grownups.

It's not really an obsession it's just that men know that women are more vulnerable fathers just want to keep their daughters safe as for a son they're protective but not as protective as when it comes to a daughter a son more often than not can go out in the middle of the night walk around and can come back home without any incident because no one will give him a second look but a girl cannot do that

@@heroking3677 Sorry but a lot of men DO have a weird obsession with their daughters to a point where it gets controlling. That's just a simple fact you can observe in reality. Also fathers tend to try to "protect" their daughters in ways and situations where it's simply borderline obsessive controlling behavior and creepy. Even normal fathers do this. Like sorry when your daughter wants to go out clubbing and wear fishnet stockings that's a big no no but when your wife did that back then it was perfectly fine? Hell fucking no. Men have got to get their shit together in multiple areas where they're completely loosing it and have been for decades now.
