This songs speaks.. my mom passed in 2009, dad was murdered and nasty divorce in 2011, cousin died of overdose in 2012. Depressed from 2012 to 2016.. June of 2016 I convinced myself my kids were better without me and I was gonna commit suicide. Early july.. I woke up and my tv was on with a pearcher talking.. everything he said .. I was going thru! That day i gave my life to jesus and I've prayed ever since.

I lost my mom in 2011, she was killed in a car accident a mile from our home.. i should have been with her that day as I always drove her wherever she needed to go, we were just close like that. I’ll forever be my mommas boy. This song cuts deep for me, life never has gotten any easier and it never will, my wife and I both have lost our mothers and really have no other close family besides one another and our kids. I’ve battled every addiction you can think of and have somehow survived even though I’ve wanted to die many times. Today I’m clean and sober (6 years) and this song just reminds me where I’ve been and what hell I went thru to get where im at. I don’t pray near enough but I do talk to my mom often. I just wanna say thanks for this one

I hear this song and it makes me think about myself and how I left my grandma's on bad terms cuz I was drinking too much and she was disappointed in me. Didn't talk to her for 4 years and she's gone now. And I didn't get to tell her sorry our how much I loved her anything. I regret some of the decisions I made, but can't go back. Now I've been sober from drinking since June of 2015. Still trying to make up for things I did and things I didn't do. But this song really hits ya where it hurts and I love it. You can see the sadness and the passion in his eyes from missing his mama. And trying to figure the urge to go back to the bottle. Stay strong Jacob you have a lot of people behind you. God is good. He will always help in your time of need. Thank you for such a beautiful song. The realness of it. And the truth in your eyes when singing the words. I had the same situation witm my grandma..... Except i moved states away with all her great grand babies... I miss her badly . but moved back 2 hometown, just to go 2 two funerals 4 her...n cant even visit her now cause shes buried in a DIFFRENT state...

@@staceyharrington314 Sorry to hear that. Its really hard to lose a loved one without saying goodbye. This happened with my best friend as well. He was hit and killed crossing the road 2 blocks from his house 10/23/2019. I never got to see him or say what i needed to say. It's hard his b-day is June 8th. Really rough time. Always tempting to drink the pain away. But knowing how bad it truly is and how much it ruined my life really helps fight this temptation. I hope things go well for you and your children. Always remember she loved you no matter what you think or thought. She knows you wanted to see her and that you loved her.

I am so sorry for your loss. I am just beginning my journey through the worst heartbreaking thing possible losing my wife on Dec 14. Our love was real and raw like this song. Caught myself when talking to mom that it was one full exact month on Thursday. We would both tell each other we weren’t going anywhere, I have been waiting for you my whole life. Other than my daughter and mother, whom I do not have any bad thing to say about my family. All of them are amazing. I’m just tired of being the screw up. I thought I was making my way past that but I had Becca and that’s all that mattered.

The first time I heard this was when I was playing KZread on my way to work for another shift as a corrections officer I play this song every time I've had a hard shift thank you guys for the good music keep it up.

He sings this song with such passion. He told us last night at his Canton concert that this song is about his mom that passed..... Cried my eyes out because I just lost my momma too!!!

yep, he's from Jasper, Georgia. We're from the same town. He actually don't live too far from me. I've been a country music fan literally my whole life and he's right up there with my all time favs. I feel so proud of him putting our little town on the map and seeing him at Kroger or Taco Bell drive thru may just be the death of me. 😂🤣

I know it's been 2 years ago you said you were still struggling with your recovery, Can I ask you how your doing now? I'm struggling with it myself, I'm gonna beat this,. I've done it myself many times in my life but years later seem to do something stupid and start again. But I don't know you and you don't know me but I'll pray for you. My dad and I lost a very good friend On the 5th of this month, He hung himself. So I changed the lyrics.

Just lost my Momma 5 months ago. She fought the good fight against cancer for 11 years. Aug. 29th she finally made it home. This song spoke to me very clearly. Glad to know I'm not the only one fighting this battle/confusion that goes along with that. Great song, much respect.

Sometimes I Pray! Amazing song! I remember laying on the street in San Pedro California, I had just been shot in both lungs my liver My left shoulder and my groin. I remember after the attempted robbery and the altercation.,laying down on someone's porch entry.,I,looked up and said lord, if you are really there. Now would be a good time to come down and save my dumb ads. Please don't let me die like a dog in,the street under a different identity.. The good lord sent his first team.,former paramedics from,The Viet Nam War Era. Then I get to San Pedro Peninsula. Hospital. The guy from the business office comes and says, He doesn't have Insurance. Take him to County! As rhey were rolling me out to the ambulance to do that. I prayed. Lord you know my needs! All of a sudden a Dr.,appears with a white coat and stethoscope. He stopped the stretcher. Put his hand on my right shoulder. He said Son how are you doing. I said better now. I prayed and here you are. I told him, I'm cold as Ice! I have no blood left in me. I won't make it too County. He told the staff! This is my patient,he is not leaving this room. I felt the Needle Penetrate my heart less than 2 minutes later. It had quit beating. That man saved my life. I am now, 62 years old. I'm still praying! Not sometimes. All the time! God does answer prayers.

Mawmaw how I wish you were here to help me pray, I can't do this without you!!! My daddy is having open heart surgery to repair two main blocked arteries and I just can't do this!! :'( praying so hard, but nothing like hearing your voice telling me it's going to be ok.
