That was awesome you giving him a pomp! Me and one other guy were evening beach fishing in St Augustine and he wore out the pomps and I got into some bigger whiting. When we got back to the parking lot, I gave him 2 big whiting for a 15” pompano so that we both had a mixed cooler to take home! Awesome video as usual!

We will there the 16th of May, hope there hitting like that then! Way to go, it's good to share beach bum, your always a standup guy.

That a way Matt! Sharing knowledge. Line diameter. I fish some dang gum rough surf. I use 40 lb mono on 40 lb braid to heave 4-6 oz sputniks, but it is always 15 lb fluoro for the hook off of the main leader. I wish I could throw light stuff like you got there in the gulf. Pomp, so yummy.

You don't need surf rods, just use what ya got and have a good time! Most fish are close in too

I've got surf rods but my fav is a 7ft bass rod (stiff), 15 or 20lb braid, 20lb floro leader
