This song, although was never taught by my mamang, I learned it in elementary in the 90s. And I can really relate to it. My papang died when I was 8 and mamang died when I was 15. I was always lonely and cried myself to sleep, I was orphaned, no siblings of my own. The lyrics really hold true to me. To be brave, to make a wish for each sad little tear, to always keep a little prayer and that soon there'll be joy and happiness, someone's waiting to love me. Now I am married, I have my little boy and a cat (and a dog who died 4 years ago who I truly love). They are my joy and happiness and my dream come true. I still miss my mamang and my dog.

This movie is so underrated 😪 It actually showed a really serious situation that no one talked about in these days. Such a beautiful song and movie

This is one of those songs that you hear as a kid and feel sad. Then you dont listen to for a while until you're an adult and you feel the true meaning of the song and it hits you like a cinder block.

I was watching the story of Gabriel Fernández when this song played in the next room and I broke down crying. This song is for all the children who are abused!

I'm in Dubai now. My Aunt told me that my mother sang this at our place in the Philippines. My mother wasn't able to finish the song because she broke and cried. When I was 5, this was my winning piece and she's the one who coached me.

Heard this back in Kindergarten, but very emotional for me, even as a young child. Tugs at the heartstrings 😢

Memories of those who have passed in my family came flooding back to me when I heard this song. The one whose passing hurt the most for me was my grandma. I had this song stuck in my head for so long. I had no idea where it was from or when I heard it, but I knew it. I sing it to my son every night. One day we were watching the rescuers and I heard it! I told my mom about it because I wanted to see if she would remember and she said she used to sing it to me every night! But I was so little she didn’t think I’d remember! It just makes this song so much more special to me!

That song...I know that song before...I remember watching the rescue when I was 7 years old and I when first listen to that song it reminds of my dream back then. In my dream I was waiting for my brother to back but he never came but I'll never forget that promise he made he promise...To never forget me and I'll always be with you inside your heart ❤️ plus he made a charm for me with a key. I'll never forget that dream I had when I was 7 plus I miss him so much.

My mom used to sing this to me when i was little and at times even when i was already a young lady. Now my mom and i are apart and dont have any contact. This song is the closest thing i have to feeling her presence. I miss her so much and wish everything was how it used to be, hoping we can be together as a happy family again someday.
