Nice upgrade! My rig is almost identical and I love it. I pulled the trigger on the CSL DD combo after watching your videos last month and went way overboard. One tip..if you want the 8nm boost kit, Amazon has the non Fanatec for around 60 dollars. At the end of the day it’s just a power supply and 150 dollars is crazy! It’s a huge upgrade to driving though I definitly recommend.

That room brought some memories back for me - it is an absolute carbon copy of the room I had when I was a teenager (about 40 years ago now) - dimensions and roof are almost exactly the same, and yep they do get hot in summer.

be careful about ordering that gt wheel soon, the quick release systems for that wheel (the qr1 and qr1 lite) are all out of stock until march 21+, so make sure you check with that first. I got lucky and my entire fanatec ecosystem arrived last week and i’ve been having a blast on f1 and acc

Yes! It has a pass through under it but the carpet is still probably to thick.

I just got an aluminum rig I ordered beginning of December. Though... I took apart my wood rig I built hoping to put the (junkyard) seat on the aluminum rig and.... yeah nope... not gonna happen. I tried angle brackets and all kinds of stuff to try to get it to mount correctly. Nope. gotta spend another $500-600 on a seat now - not a big deal just have to wait for a month or so.

you may need to take the brackets off the seat. I got a seat from a mazda 3 and just drilled the rivets out thar held the four brackets to the floor and it works great. i can send some pics, i grew up with my dad owning aa car lot and service center and build PCs as well.

@@Road2Racer I managed to get the seat to work temporarily with some tractor hardware. But its not very secure and I'm afraid I'll bend the aluminum profile (posts?) so I'll just use it as little as possible until I can get the funds together for a proper seat, seat bracket, and sliders.

@@Road2Racer i guess that would work. But i don't know on the long term tho. How does the motor inside react with even just a slight difference in Volt/Ampere? Can fanatec blame a broken wheel to a faulty powersupply? Are those chinese cheap powersupplies of good quality so you don't have to buy another one in a year?
