The guy who just took the colony just gave the other colonies in that area a great relief. A great event happened their ant history books. Underneath a park near my old house, I saw what I now believe to be a ant super colony. I remember them climbing up to my (4 floor up) home and getting food. Another example was when me and my friend lifted a brick around 7 years ago and saw hundreds of ants and even some larger ones, witch I now believe to be multiple queens.

So I think that we should keep them, it will be interesting to see how much a 100 queen polygyny will grow. Their set-up could be alot of tunnels and alot of big containers, so they can grow and grow. Also their name should be: The Colossal Polygynies/Polygyny

"The native resistance" is a good name for that colony because it will help the the native ants and its great resistance against the invasive ants

I think "The resistance" suits well to the purpose of the colony

Hey! I know this was two years ago but you have inspired me to help out wild ants in my area! When i was little i had a old plastic fish tank- i put dirt moss and drift wood in it! I put it out into the wild and put a few blueberries in it- as well as apple pieces! A year later ants went inside by themselves and even formed tunnles underneath it! I was sad because my mom wanted me to move it but I didn’t have the heart to do it- so when i did i saw so many ants in the tunnels and even some eggs! They safely moved the eggs and themselves in the tunnels- im so happy though that the ant colony lived for a good five years before disappearing! You inspire me so much! Thank you.

Is it possible to have a hybrid hive? An enclosed setup that has its hunting grounds in the outdoors. They can be watched, semi protected and partially fes while doing some hunting outdoors and allowing the new queens to fly out.

Ants are pretty cool to own, I mean. Who doesn’t want an army of insects that grows to demolish any bug that you see?

It's a supercolony. There is no true peak. This colony can grow indefinetly.

Personally I think you should keep them for a year or two, make them absolutely huge, like tens of millions of ants while releasing the elates before you set them free. Set up a bunch of artificial homes for them in the area, so they will likely move in to those easy nests, which means you can help the environment and if they keep in the area and go in the premade houses, you can still observe them.

3:40 Consider naming it the united kingdom of the pheidoles

Option C, to only let the flying Queens get out, sounds like the best choice. That way you can send out more troops against the invasive ants, as each season you can repeat the draft. Plus the ants get to say 'Ohno my Queen' when they fly out.

To be honest I actually like the idea on releasing the ant colony next to the ant house. The invasive ant are no match for the super majors

I would love to see this colony grown to a massive size, over time you could split the colony off and attempt to release part of it to the natural environment.

The Tiger-eye Empire I think another floating iseland would suit them. Your videos amaze me they are really intreging and fun to watch

I think you should grow your colony and then release them when it’s massive

I think The Centiarchy could be a good name. Centi=100, archy=kingdom (like monarchy->1 ruler, heptarchy->7 rulers, centiarchy->100 rulers)

I have a suggestion for the new ant house: Maybe add twisty see through pipes for visitors or guests to see the amazing ants.

My name is suggestion would be The spines empire just because normally each spawn on a puffer fish would produce poison when stabbed into its prey but in this case it would be producing queen elites to basically like force back or even eradicate the invasive😅

If you can get a big enough housing for them to prosper and grow inside, I’d love to see how they grow throughout the years, I feel like I rarely get to see so much queen activity until this colony

The last time I was this early, The Fire Nation was still alive :(
