I find it phenomenal that Benzema has been playing for Real Madrid this consistently for over a decade now. To think he's the only remaining galactico from 2010 is absolutely mind-blowing. Then to see him week in week out perform at the very top all these years & see him score a hatrick to take Real Madrid to the quarter final in 2022 just shows what an absolutely world class player he is and has been. Definitely not underated, but certainly not fully appreciated enough. Finally that's about to change!

Ikr, he's been one of my favourite players for years. I find it quite funny that only now people realise as to how brilliant he is, from what I can remember he's always been brilliant. Ronaldo's departure has worked wonders, Benzema's now getting the due respect he deserves.

@@VladScousov helping the team and letting others shine for collective glory is not being "not consistent". Benzema never needed and still does not need numbers to show his quality. If he was a selfish player that fought CR7 rather than helped him shine, Real's history would not be the way it is. His resume proves why he is one the best strikers ever, from playmaking for the team to being the main man up top.

No his last 4 seasons have been his best - he’s matured, he was on and off for years and didn’t get call ups for France. He’s playing his best football now and he’s a beast but to say he’s been like this for 10 years is way off it, he didn’t used to get in the team

PSG's problem is something they can never really fix. The French Ligue 1 which they play in week-in, week-out, is simply too weak to adequately prepare them for the tougher opposition they face in the Champions League. They need to face tougher competition more regularly in their domestic league. But the rest of the teams in the league are more like 2nd tier leagues in some other football leagues, like England. In fact, England's 2nd tier 'Champtionship' league might be stronger than the majority of Ligue 1.

This is such stupid logic it’s unreal. Were Guardiola’s Bayern and Man City Team who only reached a UCL final once “unmanageable”? Winning the UCL isn’t a the barometer of being a great team, there’s often luck involved hence why some “average” teams have managed to shithouse their way to win a UCL title.

Its not just egos its more a player who can slack off a bit more than the rest. Suarez was a workhouse in MSN, sure Messi wasn't great defensively but he would hard dropping deep and dictating play and Neymar definitely wasn't a freeloader but he didn't do as much as Suarez and Messi

It's easy to point the finger towards big names like Messi but he was actually tracking back and one of the few players composed with the ball. Marquinhos misplaces like 4 or 5 passes in extremely dangerous areas and I don't think they intercepted a single cross towards Benzema. PSG should've invested in players that can actually build up some play. They also collectively threw all discipline and composure to the wind when Benzema scored 2-1. They were tied at that point but PSG were just done.

I like Poch but why do these pundits act like hes the second coming of Fergie. PSGs problem is that they never hire the right manager with the experience of managing massive egos. Tuchel was a good appointment, got them to the final and they sacked him. Poch literally never won a title before PSG, he didn't come with any pedigree, only managed Espanyol Southampton and Spurs so how can he control Mbappe Neymar and Messi lmao. They shouldve kept Tuchel or bring in someone like Conte or Zidane, managers with actual pedigree. Poch is the Argentinian Graham Potter. Good rep with nothing to show for it
