Some People Like It Hot, Infused Kentucky Maple Syrup

Value added products can play an important role in a farmer’s business plan. One of our favorite value added products is taking our Kentucky maple syrup we make in Letcher County and infusing it with hot peppers (Habanero, Cayenne, Jalapeño) we grow and dry. This spicy sweet mixture is delicious on ribs pork roasts, chicken waffles, and in baked beans,. We also infuse our maple syrup with Madagascar Vanilla Beans.

Once bottled, how long do you have to wait before you sell it?

It’s ready to sell right away, it is good right off the bat but does improve with a little age.
Wonder how it would taste cooked with ham?
