The village coming to the rescue reminded me of the phrase “It takes a village to raise a child.” It made me cry because it has been a very long time since anyone can see moments like this anymore. People are to afraid of one another to do so. But one day, we will see moments like this in real life again.

Yeah I also have a theory you know how people joke that Mirabel wiped her gift away before touching her door if you look at where she wipes she wipes it over her heart so what if instead of her not getting the gift she was the complete gift she always looked on the bright side of things and I do believe she is one with the house but not for the reasons you might expect, if you notice in the whole movie anything Mirabel asked Casita to do it did it, if you notice the Casita doesn't really respond to the other Madrigals the way it does with her from the first part where she says floors, drawers, she said those things not anyone else, also when Casita is breaking and Isabella and Camilo were trying to get to the candle and their gifts faded it Casita didn't help them get to the top and while it was breaking Mirabel didn't want anyone hurt which explains why when Julietta tried running after her Casita took her out the door, and Mirabel being one with the magic explains why she didn't get a room all of Casita is technically hers as she is the reason it lives, and if her and the Casita were one with the candle wouldn't it make sense for it to want to keep Mirabel with it and not a room where it can't really reach her like in Bruno's room Sorry for the long post I thought of this and wanted to share it

The casita does it's just they have powers so they don't really need to use casita for example if you rewatch the beginning you can see Luisa running on the floor

@@howxdark my theory is that the magic is from her grandpa who passed away and he saw abuela greeb and his soul is the magic, and as he saw abuela fall in love with the gifts and not the familia grandpa (the candle and house) made a plan so that abuela would come back to her senses and realize that the gifts aren't everything, and that it's ok to be imperfect

THE FACT YOU MADE THE RATS SPEAK BROKE ME!?

I tought that Abuela's gift was the magic tied to the candle and everyone got their gifts trough her. Later I tought that that gift went to Mirabel with the door handle. (Abuela got her gift because she needed to protect her kids so her love for them turned into gifts that they got. That is why they are losing their powers because Abuela is more focused on the magic and not her family where almost everyone who has some kind of emotional issue with her is loosing their gift. The reason why Mirabel didn't get the gift seemed to be because she was going to be next keeping their gifts alive after Abuela who was getting older)

Y'know, I feel like Mirabel's supposed gift is a mix of her being the casita/candle and her wiping the magic off on herself. She wipes the magic on herself, turning her *into* the gift rather than getting a clear gift like everyone else who applies their gift to their door. Since Mirabel's gift wasn't tied to her door, it disappeared. That's why the rooms seem to need to apply to the kids gifts - because their rooms are just extensions of their gifts. The source of their specific gifts, you could say. Without the "channel" (aka the room), Mirabel's gift never focused into one thing. Instead, her gift became the magic itself, herself. That's why her gift brought Casita back, because it wasn't tied to Casita itself. It's like she made herself another version of the magic, like the Casita and the candle are versions of the magic. Idk if this makes sense, I kinda started zoning out the more I wrote.

Mirabel: "I finally have a gift?" Me: Ah, no. It's unknown on why.
