How do you know if it's a negative number or not?

It depends on the context of the problem. Negatives would be used in the real world to describe a negative balance, a negative temperature, or something like going below sea level.

If you have the same sign, just add the absolute values and keep the common sign. -4 + (-6) = -(4 + 6) = -10 -13 + (-10) = -(13 + 10) = -23 Just think about adding the numbers like if they were positive and put the negative sign on at the end. Adding Integers with a different sign is also easy. Just pretend both numbers are positive and subtract the smaller from the larger. Then attach the sign of the original number that is larger in terms of absolute value. 6 + (-4) = +(6 - 4) = +2 In other words, just do 6 - 4 , which is 2 and then use the sign from the 6 since it is larger in terms of absolute value. -6 + 4 = -(6 - 4) = -2 -10 + 13 = +(13 - 10) = 3 10 + (-13) = -(13 - 10) = -3 You can watch the tutorial here: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aIKFusStk7rUpLw.html

i am sorry to say that your last module in which you told about the filling card was wrong because the statement that is formed is 347+(-8)+(-63)+(-39)+(-133)+104 347+(-243) 104 but your answer came 124 that is wrong if i am wrong you can send me a message i am of 7th grade

Go to 8:24 and you can see the problem laid out: it's 200 +(-8)+(-63)+(-39)+147 +(-113) which is 124.

It's the same answer either way. Adding -8 is the same as subtracting away 8. Do whichever you prefer.

People need to learn how to just search for the topic they need and not ask random math questions on the first video they find.
