Solving a multi-step equation with fractions and variable on both sides
👉 Learn how to solve multi-step equations with variable on both sides of the equation. An equation is a statement stating that two values are equal. A multi-step equation is an equation which can be solved by applying multiple steps of operations to get to the solution.
To solve a multi-step equation, we first combine like terms by taking the variable terms to one side of the equality sign and the constant terms to the other side of the equation and evaluate them, then we can isolate the variable by multiplying both sides by the reciprocal of the coefficient of the variable.

This seriously helped me. I make honest efforts in Algebra 1 and I get really confused.. But I watch this and its like the entire world just made sense. That was a little dramatic, but you get what I'm saying. Please keep doing what you are doing. It helps a lot!

I agree. I have a really hard time paying attention because I get distracted really easily and space out a lot even though I do actually want to do well. So these videos really help me. I always come back to them when I'm struggling. Towards the end of 10th grade I was having a lot of stress but his video just opened my eyes.

Brian McLogan Can you solve p/3 × 1/q for me
This beautiful man taught me more than my teacher for what? 8 months now? wow just wow, Thank you sir.
I'm currently taking MTH 082 at community college and it's completely online. The program our teacher uses doesn't explain steps AT ALL and it's impossible to grasp concepts. You just helped me grasp a concept I've been struggling with for hours. Thank you so much! I can't stand being taught math online while listening to a robotic voice demonstrate problems using extremely technical terms that they haven't given a definition for. Your channel is a lifesaver right now!
Thanks, I appreciate it. I have a lot of solving equation videos. Let me know how they help

Brian McLogan Does this only work for equations with all fractions?
Are all the variables the same or different?
Doing a math refresher before my Apprenticeship test and that was very helpful, that second method of solving the equation is new to me so thanks for walking through it
OMG this video saved me. Nothing was clicking in my brain till i watched this. I'm so thankful for this. Thanks from a pre algebra student lol

Yo you guys have a test tomorrow too🤣😂
The second method saved my life . Thank you!! :)
This actually helped me. I was stuck on a problem for so long but after watching this one video and learning the method with a teacher who actually cared helped me so much.
great stay with it, and let me know if I can help you further
