This seriously helped me. I make honest efforts in Algebra 1 and I get really confused.. But I watch this and its like the entire world just made sense. That was a little dramatic, but you get what I'm saying. Please keep doing what you are doing. It helps a lot!

I agree. I have a really hard time paying attention because I get distracted really easily and space out a lot even though I do actually want to do well. So these videos really help me. I always come back to them when I'm struggling. Towards the end of 10th grade I was having a lot of stress but his video just opened my eyes.

I'm currently taking MTH 082 at community college and it's completely online. The program our teacher uses doesn't explain steps AT ALL and it's impossible to grasp concepts. You just helped me grasp a concept I've been struggling with for hours. Thank you so much! I can't stand being taught math online while listening to a robotic voice demonstrate problems using extremely technical terms that they haven't given a definition for. Your channel is a lifesaver right now!

Brian McLogan Does this only work for equations with all fractions?

Are all the variables the same or different?

Doing a math refresher before my Apprenticeship test and that was very helpful, that second method of solving the equation is new to me so thanks for walking through it

the equation 3/5x + 2/3 + x = 1/2 - 1/5x Can you combine like terms : 3/5x + x to equal 8/5x, then convert to whole numbers, or convert to whole numbers first, then combine like terms? Thanks & great teaching!

Hey brian could you not have just multiplied every fraction from both sides by 6 which is the lcm to isolate the x and add like terms?
