My frnd, why i cannot open any folder on desktop using double left click? Instead vlc player automatically open everytime i double left click any folder. Pls help me.

Well I got the feeling the last windows update got this removed, because I can't right click in the file explorer anymore either and there is a button in the file menu on top now that should make a new folder, but it won't do anything at all. Now I tried both your solutions, that scan program doesn't find any integrity violations and there isn't a NoViewContextMenu to be deleted in both registry keys either. So I can't make new shortcuts anymore on my desktop.

I Didn't faced this issue. So I want to test this issue with solution 2, so I created manully Registry key and I got context menu not working ,so I applied solution 2, then context menu worked again. From my testing, solution 2 is worked only if polies are set by administrator and registry key exists only.

@ANDREI123 If you can't see means , either policies are modified in group policy editor or in registry key

NoViewContextMenu does not show up in my registry. Also HKEY_current_user do not have explorer! So not resolved

Did not help me. I do not have NoViewContextMenu in my registry but still RC on desktop isn't working and no icons are shown. What did work for me is changing Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer - NoDesktop from 1 to 0.
