Your comments makes me happy 😃
This is the only video that worked to fix my bosch e24 error
My good Sir I’ve been chasing this issue for a few days. I popped that top off and it had debris in it. You are a gentleman and a scholar.
Thanks, yours was the 3rd video I watched, after each of the first 2, I did what they suggested, all to no avail. After I watched your video I popped open the air gap and found it full of crap. Cleaned the air gap and it works like new. Thanks! My next step was going to be to call a repairman. I should send you a check.
DUDE!!! SERIOUSLY!! You are the man!! After, i pulled it out took off the hoses, clean the hoses, put the hoses back, clean the drain, looked for the repair guide, toss the repair guide over the balcony, go find the no help repair guide, find pages for the now missing repair guide, spend an hour figuring out I accidentally unplugged the machine while moving it back, getting the dreaded wife's "baby, maybe we should call somebody" and then finally going to KZread AND FINDING YOU!!!! THANK YOU AIN'T ENOUGH!!

LOL I appreciate your compliments! I love that "baby, maybe we should call somebody" Hahaha
This worked for me, THANK YOU! I unscrewed the cap on the airgap, removed a bit of debris and then was worried i was going to push it back down into the pipe by accident. Before going to grab my shop-vac I started the cycle with the cap off, this allowed the debris to shoot up and the rest of the water to clean the opening. Problem solved!
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I have repaired many a dishwasher, pumps gone bad, sensors, even control boards. The hard part is diagnosing and testing the easy things before ordering parts, or heaven forbid calling service. I, like you, tried the stuff that was mentioned on the Bosch site, but I never thought to check the air break. Two minutes later everything was working and the repair guy got a big kiss from a happy wife. Please stay healthy and stay safe in these crazy times!!
I had the same E24 issue with my 1 yr old Bosch - drain tube had the food residue. Big food particle was trying to pop out and it was stuck. Just cleared it and didn't go the extreme of suction..all worked - took just 2 minutes. Thanks for this video, very helpful.

Glad I could help!
Thank you spent forever puttering on water drains to no avail. This worked a treat
Worked like a charm... I ran through the same things as you. Cleaned out the basin drain, cleaned out the line, etc. After watching your vid I popped the cover off the air gap, found debris, and the dishwasher is back to operational. Thanks!
Thank you so much. Paid $70 yesterday to a "repairman". He told me if the code came back I would need a new pump. I found debris at the top of the vent just like you did. Dishwasher working great! 😀

You are better than the 'repairman' you should ask for a refund. Hahaha
THANK YOU SO MUCH. I struggled with the cover to the pump for several minutes before taking to KZread for advice on how to open it and found this. There was indeed a tiny piece of plastic wrap perfectly blocking that tube in the air gap. You saved my mom & me a pricey & unnecessary service call
Thank you so much! Our Bosch is under warranty, but Bosch said it would take more than 2 weeks to send someone over! That was unacceptable, and I tried some other videos, but your fix with the air gap worked like a charm. You are a star, Sir!
I have watched so many videos, none of them described this air gap issue. your video is the only one that worked!!! Thanks so much!!!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This was the source of my clog. I’d spent 2 hours pulling the dishwasher out, sucking the lines clear with a shop vac, and still getting the code. I had no idea the air gap could come apart like that. Popped it open, and there was a fragment of a turkey bone and some rice stuck in there. Cleared it out, and now my BOSCH is running perfectly again.

Same thing, I tried everything until I checked the air gap which had a bunch of debris in it. Thank you to the video author!
Wow your video is the only one that works! I have cleaned the drain filter, drain hose. I even pulled out my dishwasher out completely and troubleshoot the pumps and solenoids, nothing works. Then I watched your video. Damn, air gap wow, amazing, Thanks so much!
Thanks for the video. I had two of the ends of a plastic fork caught in that trap. Truly appreciate your help!
I’m so grateful for your video! You prevented me having to call for expensive service call during a pandemic! My air gap was stuffed with debris. I cleared it and problem was fixed!
This was exactly my issue! Thanks!!👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 Made me look like quite the handyman to the wife!😂
OH MY GOODNESS! We have replaced the drain pump, cleaned the hoses, even had a repairman here. Your video solved the issues for me! After all the other repairs.. thank you so much! We are also in Houston ... would love to buy you a drink!

Thanks! You solved my problem! My air gap was clogged, too.
This TOTALLY fixed my E24 drainage issue!!! 1 minute simple solution no one else suggested. Wish I would have found this video sooner before spending 2 hours troubleshooting on the Bosch site.

Thank you, air vent/trap clog solved. Thank you for taking time to make this vid. The air vent on our unit was clogged with "stuff"...cleaned it...the washer now works...NO Error Code 24! Excellent...Thanks
I spent an hour trouble shooting before seeing your video. 2 minute fix, thanks!
Solved my problem. Never even think of air gap to be the culprit until saw this video. Thanks!
THANK YOU! I have been banging my head for a few weeks now trying to figure out what the issue was. Popped the airgap cap off and it was clogged with all sorts of stuff. Surely that was my problem.
THANK YOU SO MUCH! The first installation team could not figure it out, but they called it a pump malfunction. At the time, I offered to have the air gap changed; they said the part is all clean and good. Ten days later (while I was washing all dishes by hand), the company sent out another new dishwasher and a second team. They exchanged the dishwasher, but the same problem E-24 occurred after 5 washes. Thank you so much for your video. I do not have to call the company, handwash dishes for another 2 weeks, tip the installation team again, AND have the same problem ALL OVER AGAIN.
I watched 5+ other videos, this video is the only one that solved the bosch e24 / e25 issue. THANK YOU!!!!
Thanks for your video, i got my dishwasher working again. No more E24
Still looking for a solution for me. Cleaned the filter, though it was already pretty clean. Air gap was already spotless. Afraid I'm going to have to call someone out. Thanks for the vid though! Honestly very disappointed, I put my dishes in pretty clean and clean the dishwasher routinely. I expected a Bosch to be more reliable than this.
Houston here too. Now I know what to do! Thanks!
Thank you so much for the easy fix!! I popped open the air gap and there was a plastic fork tine stuck right in the top with a bit of other debris behind it. Once I pulled that little bit out everything worked like a charm!! Would have been an embarrassing service call!!
Yes! Thank you!!! I had no clue that was even a place to check. Fixed!
I usually just vacuum the drain hose with my shop vac and the problem goes away. When that didn’t work I took everything apart, even replaced the pump. But, in the end, this was the issue. Thanks.
Thanks hubby said to buy a new one you really saved me that inconvenience!
Thank you!!! I tried this first because I didn't want to go through the effort of taking the machine apart. Sure enough there was a big chunk of debris blocking the line .
Your video saved me $$$. I was just about to call appliance repair, but I saw your video, so simple I can not believe it. WOW! Thanks SOOO MUCH!!!!
Life saver! I tried other videos but no success. Saw your video and yup, it was clogged up. Arigato!
Thank you! Never would have thought of that!
Yeah., saved me calling a repair guy! Thanks 😊
Thanks! I had troubleshooted all the other options, then ran across your video. It was the source of the problem.. clogged overflow valve. Problem solved.. Thanks so much!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU! When I opened the air gap, there was a patch of debris, which I removed. And, then the dishwasher worked beautifully! HOORAY!
This also worked for me. My air gap was not that clogged, with only some small bits of food but after wiping the entire area clean, it worked. Thanks!
By the way you reminded so much of my Scottish Dad. Thank you again!!! Not cheap thrifty
This is the first time a youtube video actually worked. Glad I did this first. Save me big $ and time. Thank you! Called Bosch and they were no help. They hung up and said they have no one to help during covid.
You rock! You solved my problem. I had troubleshooted everything like you did. I did not know hot to take apart the air drain. I had zucchini seeds that found their way in there!!!
This solved my problem! Had a piece of plastic wedged in the tube. Cleaned it out, restarted the dishwasher, and it immediately drained. Thanks!
Flippin EXCELLENT - tried it (after an hour or so in the dishwasher and under the sink (it needed to be organized anyway I guess ) Cleaned the air gap - works perfectly 🎉
Thank you! so glad I tried this first. 30 second fix.
I’m so thankful for your video, my air gap was plugged like crazy. Thank you, God Bless
Bless you!! It saved my evening!! The machine quitted washing suddenly with water tap message and two beeps. Thank you!!
BLESS YOU! This was exactly my issue.
Thank you for taking the time to make this vid. Fixed my issue after a couple hours of troubleshooting!
Thank you, you are awesome! My dishwasher works again!
Thanks, that was the problem! Just poked a pencil down into the little tube about three inches, started the dishwasher, and SPLOOSH, all that water ran right out. Cheers!
This video deserves way more likes.
Thank you, this was the solution to my problem. Had something stuck in the air gap.
Thank you! You made 2020 a bit brighter.

This worked for me too. We had a chicken bone fragment and a piece of plastic in the airgap. I used the ShopVac to pull it out. Thanks for posting.

Thank you so much! It’s worked for me as well. Such an easy, simple fix, absolutely genius!!
Thank you! Found your video and had the problem fixed in 10 mins.
Thank you man, way easier fix after searching for the clog for an hour
If you're installing a new Bosch 800 series and get this error on your first time running - check the garbage disposal to insure that the plug isn't installed - even if you had a dishwasher before. There's a knock-out plastic plug on the inside of the dishwasher connection on the garbage disposal. If it's in place or not entirely removed, Bosch senses the back pressure and throws a fault code e24 which indicates failure to drain.

I don't have an air gap like in your video. I recall that in other homes there was one on the counter by the faucet but not this one. Where else could it be? I've cleaned the filter
Thanks, man. Mine was plugged too

@@UberKvlt fair enough.
sorry, maybe I missed it, but what did you do to the air gap? just remove the top and put it back? I got the explanation of what the air gap does, but how did you fix the issue with it? how did you unclog the air gap?
@DIYGEEKTEXAS

There was a piece of chicken bone block the small 1/4" pipes inside the air gap. The air gap is a debris trap magnet. I used skewers and tweezers to remove the bone, then all good!

@@DIYGEEKTEXAS thanks. just realized my air gap isnt connected to.anything at the bottom. (so.i guess it's not being used? it's a new home which is why I had no clue lol) maybe connecting into the lines can help stop the water tap error?)
Thanks, I had the same problem
