DIY GEEK

DIY GEEK

I love DIY projects and this is my channel about everything that I love to do during my spare time. Fortunately I do a lot of things myself. A few topics I will do on DIY GEEK are:

• DIY Solar
• Solar panels
• Home improvement projects
• Electrical work
• Tool reviews
• Car and Truck repairs
• Car and Truck modifications
• Tesla Electric Car related videos
• and many more ....

I started this channel in 2011 but did not actually try to become a KZreadr until Summer 2018. To reach monetizable status it took me about 2.5 years. I

In October 24, 2020 I reached 1000 subscribers (Thanks to all my subscribers). Ten days afterwards I created a video 'How much I earn after KZread Monetization?' kzread.info/dash/bejne/iaimrdWaaZnNfLg.html to share my experiences and how much money I make after being able to monetize on KZread.

Thank You for visiting DIY GEEK channel.

    I realised that the dust in my port was blocking the charger from going in fully. That’s why it wasn’t making a connection and charging I held it up to the light and used a really small flat screwdriver and noticed the dust had collected at the back towards to two sides. Softly I removed this dust that had squashed itself especially at the two corners. Once I saw it coming out I tried the charger. This time it felt like it went in all the way and the charging began immediately 🎉🎉🎉

    Helpful video, I wasn’t sure exactly what the issue was initially as the head was popping up but not sprinkling. I was going to schedule a service call but decided to try it myself and check the filter after viewing your video. Sure enough the filter was clogged and the cleaning process worked exactly as you demonstrated and the head is now functioning properly. I had to use a sewing needle to clean some of the filter heads that wouldn’t rinse with water, but no big deal. Interesting enough when my service provider did the spring start-up that same head having issues. They said it was repaired but obviously it wasn’t, I’m a bit annoyed they didn’t check the filter. Thank you for the clear and easy to follow steps.

    Why did all the flocculent float to the top for me? And now a light green

  • @DIYGEEKTEXAS
    @DIYGEEKTEXAS2 күн бұрын

    After you add flocculent you should mix in the water for only 30 min, then you should turn off your pump, keep the water still to let the heavy flocculent (which should be attached to the algae and stuff) to sink down to the bottom.

    @DIYGEEKTEXAS Thanks! Great video. I see you're also in Texas! With all the rain we've had my yard flooded and spilled over into the pool, now it has dirt and mud, and I've been looking for a way to bypass my filters, so I'm doing same as you, I have pretty much the same system as you. Please let me know if there is anything you would have done differently

  • @DIYGEEKTEXAS
    @DIYGEEKTEXAS3 күн бұрын

    @@rvb880 Thanks your comment. Hindsight I wish I can turn back time and tell my pool builder to install a bypass valve. Which is basically just a diverter valve directly after the main pump. One side will go to storm drain and the other will go to the original path (pool filter). I have not had time to make that change. Maybe in the future. Without that diverter valve, this video is the best alternative.

    Instead of removing the two screws that hold the cover on and then using pliers to remove the black plastic piece, leave the cover on and just use your hand to loosen the assembly. Seen several videos where the first thing folks do is remove the cover but the cover is a useful handgrip to loosen the assembly.

    Nice job. At the very end you said, make sure the pressure valve is closed before you prime the pump. I think you meant to say make sure it’s open until the water flows through the nozzle and then close it. Otherwise you build too much air pressure.
