At 7:25... he's not watching it a vacuum, he's watching it in micro-gravity. Glaring error.

Glaring error! 😂@@TheRealDogfart
Superb congruency of a fictional story and actual footage aboard the ISS. I liked seeing the aurora from orbit.
astronaut loses radio contact with earth. City lights on the dark side must give hope that not all is lost.
Great video, one fact I would like to point out about the water glob, you said in a vacuum, it is not a vacuum it is zero or close to no gravity.

Agreed. Scientific accuracy is likely pretty important to the target audience!
@Slarti

Slightly incorrect - it is not in a vacuum and it is under the influence of gravity. It constantly falling within that gravity at a speed which means that the ISS never hits the Earth. Since there are still a few air molecules even that high up ,the speed of the orbit does decrease slightly over time which means that a boost is occasionally needed.
@lumntoob999

@@Slarti the constant falling means there is no opposing force like when on the earths surface. So even though the ISS has roughly 90% of the gravity as the earth the constant free fall gives the same effect as true weightlessness. I don't quite comprehend how or to what degree but from what I understand we don't feel gravity unless there is an opposing force.

This looked even more real than "Gravity" and I didn't think that was possible! Good on you!
Alien ship comes up and broadcasts a message "you can't park there!". Also water in no gravity not water in a vaccum.
bubble ball is magnificent and it's bursting bubbles making that effect of splitting from the ball - huh, i watched it over and over again that sequence....
The first sci-fi space adventure filmed on location! XD
The astronaut in this short movie is David Saint-Jacques, a Canadian astronaut who was in the ISS from december 3, 2018 to june 24, 2019. I met the man at my workplace (which unfortunately I can’t disclose). Never thought I would see him in a sci-fi movie. A well made short, but the ending is a bit disappointing. Still, it was quite enjoyable.

I agree. Shows that we indeed might not be alone, for real!!
If you don't have access to a huge budget, I don't know how you can create such a great visual effect. Kudos!

When you live on a real space ship you don't need special effects to make one. Pretty cool idea. Love the creativity and ingenuity of the astronauts involved. They're not just nerds after all. So, you have to wonder how they got the film back to earth. Maybe on one of Space X's missions?
Absolute gem ! A real space movie using a real ship and astronaut. Incredible 🎉 Best thing I've seen for a long time.
Excellent work. So your low budget involved renting the ISS, getting an actor trained as an astronaut, then getting him up there. Amazing, at a standard that could only be dreamed of. Makes Blake's Seven look slightly lame.
ISS : Huston, we are not alone. NASA : Duh, did you figure that out all by yourself?
All real stock footage, edit and add voiceover to form a short film 🌍 It was good 👏
Liquid in a vaccuum? I think he meant weightlessness
Incredible short, cinematography taken to the next level, I really enjoyed everything … music, voice over, performance, fxs, story
Very carefully made with all the authentic NASA/CSA footage! There was just one brief clip during the last EVA where a second astronaut is glimpsed next to the main character ... could that be his numenous, mysterious moment? 'I knew I wasn't truly alone after all... Those people wishing me Godspeed didn't know what they were saying.'
As real as it can get! Bravo! More?
5:43 and 6:30 Great job on the lip sync. I know it's a lot harder than it looks, and you made fun use of the gestures too!
From the visuals,writing& acting 👍
OK very cool. Archival footage and actual voice transmissions. Yes indeed, we are not alone.
very good, thanks for putting this together - spotted one scripting error - to be a pedant - water in zero gravity , not , water in a vacuum......
Awesome work!!! I hope you finish the story.
BRAVO !!! Excellent idea, great work and very evocative. Thank You......
Hard to believe this was all created and shot in someone's garden shed. Very creative.
Don't mean to be a stickler, but he's not in a vacuum. He's in a pressurized vehicle in constant free fall. Great job with the ISS interior and weightlessness!!
Amazing short film, narrative feels like when you read an Andy Weir book. Love it.
Fabulous use of sound in storytelling!
Who writes the positive reviews? Friends of the production?
This really is very good. You’d think it was actually filmed on the ISS
03:53 “Over and Out”… no trained pilot, astronaut or radio telephony trained person would ever use that phrase… it’s the biggest no-no in communication procedure… just saying 🤷🏻♂️
Very good! A whole movie would be great! 😎
Nicely filmed. Just liked the story. Taste like a follow up needs to come...
Haha awesome. Watching it I marveled at the convincing effects, set design and lighting/ cinematography for a low budget short film. Man, these guys really nailed it, on level with big budget Hollywood productions, I thought. The lighting especially was highly convincing. No wonder, since it turns out to be 100% archival footage. What a great concept. Goes to show how you can create very convincing fictional reality using non-fiction footage, as is often done in documentaries pushing a certain agenda. Speaking of which, it's funny to think: not knowing the origin of the footage, watching for the 1st time, highly impressed by the quality of the special effects, there were some moments where I thought, ah they slipped up on the wire work here and there... feeding into the conspiracy of NASA faking all of their footage. As with everything NASA does, there are moments that make you scratch your head, and ive seen clips where wire work is unmistakable.
This is fantastic, I can't tell what's cg and what's practical.👍
Not bad at all. An excellent piece of work.
I felt tension watching it. Interesting conclusion. Glad humanity wasn’t wiped out!
Incredible. Fantastic work & well done all involved. This really is pretty special 👍
A visually ravishing feast for the eyes.
“Shot on location..!”
Oh yes more please ❤
They sent a crew up there to video/ film shots of this more than likely. I remember them launching them months ago....
Is the science fiction the fact that one singular man would be able to maintain and know all systems of this station? It's run by multiple countries. Dude must be a genius and a master of everything.. lmao. Writers are ridiculous.
Just great!
Great set!
amazing work
Excellent!
Well Done... Loved it... 👍👍
Good film. And oh yeah! Duh we’re not alone!
Excellent.
Outstanding and bravo!
Looked good. Clever use of stock footage. Could have used some of that cleverness for the story, and not reuse one of the oldest and most used plot lines in all of Science Fiction, wasting the nicely built tension on a dud of an ending. All the fancy tech and look can't fix a run-of-the-mill storyline. Today's creators often don't seem to understand the importance of this.
I love the realistic story, filming and audio. Very good 👍🏻
That was darn good. I would like to see the credits in the intro be a little bigger, brighter and stay up a bit longer before fading away. Was very difficult to read them if I was lucky enough to be able to even spot them as they faded in and out in random locations. Beyond that little issue the film was very well done. Great camera work, lighting and use of what appeared to be actual footage from the ISS. If it wasn’t it fooled me for sure. Thanks for posting for us to enjoy your work!
The astronaut is Canadian astronaut David St. Jacques
One of the longest previews ever! Can't wait to see the whole movie! 😄
Excellent! Loved the ending - what a surprise! Great job!
At 5: 20 ( that banging noise that he heard was maybe the storm cloud lightning ; or the something in the moon.. ? Now back to my short film.👀

He was alone, then he was not alone... meh Should be a cataclysm on Earth while the dude is orbiting :) - III World War started with nukes everywhere, leaving maybe a few thousands alive in the bunkers - Earth got invaded by aliens, in the end they got the protagonist as well.
Bravo!
Very good made, the sense of reality, perfectly depicted!!! 10
Nice short, but as a cynic it'd take more than unexpected bright lights for me to declare "'We are not alone'!
Look what's in space 🌌🚀 huh! From eye views and knowing the truth about outer space makes it so simple to be on earth! Half humans are on a different treck
cool!
Muy bueno!
Great job....Peace
Earth below us,Drifting falling,Floating weightless, Calling calling home
All that's missing is William Shatner looking out the window seeing someone clinging to the station.BTW, liquid in zero G, vacuum is outside where real liquid would boil immediately.
Love it just wish there were way more!
wow! the relish and detail are like watching a documentary about ISS- no sure how they pulled it off, but fantastic.

General alien trollish behavior. Could be the alien is actually soundwave spying on earth and taking his boredom out on poor astronaut's sanity.
Flying alone on the ISS? Firing thrusters .... from outside, during EVA? Just staying alone for weeks without aborting the mission and landing with the Soyuz capsule? And the end - so "unexpected". Just a "masterpiece" 😉
🍿Comprihensive!
Bello bello bello, Bravi
If the rockets are routinely used to maintain altitude, why would they aver be disconnected? When the rocket fired, why did he not experience acceleration? It would be nice if science fiction had some science in it.

that was exceptionally good
