I have always loved Al Martino's version. But today I heard this version for the first time. I can't believe that I've never heard this. I'm 64 for pete's sake.. Fabulous is all I can say. Maybe it's the mariachi band, as I love mexican or spanish music. Especially "Freddie Fender". Yeah

I had 311 videos on KZread 7 of them were by Solomon King, but KZread deleted all my 311 videos because of 5 copyright songs that time. Well, try the internet to find SK albums, or on eBay sometimes they sell his LPs.

Blue is not referring to the color of the eyes but to the mood or sadness of the lady in question. Mexican or Spanish ladies are 90% likely to be looking at you with simmering brown dark eyes!! Nicely sung too.

In middle East, There are many people who have blue and green eyes. A lot of those models are forn northern Europe or Afganistan, Irak even Egipt.

Dear bobsartgallery, do you have more Solomon? I heard a song on a small station community radio (Australia). They played a song by him and it was wonderful....don't know it's name. If you can list the songs you have I may be able to pick it out xxxx

Reference to blue eyes actually means blue as in sad or sad eyes. Spanish or Latin ladies have brown or black eyes so it is funny that people keep putting up pictures of ladies with colour blue eyes lol (color in yank land).

I am wondering why all the previous comments about Spain! Doesn't anyone listen to the words "Prettiest Eyes in all of MEXICO" should have given them a clue. Spanish speaking maybe - but many thousands of miles away from Spain. People with Roman noses aren't necessarily from Rome ;-)

I know..but most of the girls on the video are models from north Europe..that´s whai I meant..just because of the blue eyes to match the song !!

the moors occupied spain for over 800 or 700 years. so they had a pretty big influence. but later the moors aka muslims were driven out by king fernandid and queen isabella i know i spelled thier names wrong but i think you will get it idea
