absolutely agree. I remember Solomon King as a young man when me and my gorgeous wife Emily chose 'She Wears My Ring' as our wedding song 35 years ago and I think Solomon's song has something to do with my deep and endless love for my lovely Emily ever since. x x

I grew up in the UK during the 60's and 70's and was totally spoilt by great singers with great voices which included the likes of Tom Jones, Engelbert, Solomon King and Tony Christie to name a few. What do we have today? Justin Bieber and other sound engineered singers with effeminate girly voices who really have no real vocal talent and are marketed purely for their image. Sad but true

i love tony christie too! his voice isnt so powerful now but lovely voice too..I always felt he could have been more famous if he had better management. Like tom jones got a new manager then and his career skyrocketed..Before that he was singing with a few guys in pubs going no where. of course a good manager and fantastic talent too

They don’t sing songs with meanings of real love anymore, since the sexual revolution, real love only comes to so many, what a pity, so songs with beautiful lyrics are a thing of the past, and there isn’t many great voices to sing them either, I’m glad I’m old.
