yes there are, during the return of blackbirding, the giant went back to their cave and disappeared, one of the giant was captured during blackbirding and took him to Quesland sugarcane plantation, His name was Latimakode, i dont know what name Australia Archieves used. He won a boxing match and they game him money and did not want the money but choose a smoke pipes, He got a lot of pipes and when he returns to Guadalcanal he shared the pipes to all the giants on the island,the pipe has sailing boat carve on the side of it. .in 1995 when i was a kid a chief in the village took out the pipe and he show it to us to see.

This is the dumbest intro I have heard in awhile. "The beauty of the Solomon Islands lies in the fact that it is a completely natural island." The Solomon Islands are an archipelago, not just one island. Tell me, what archipelagos exist that are not "natural"? There are archipelagos that are man-made? Then you say "it is located in the middle of rainforest". No, it is located in the middle of the ocean. There are rainforests located on the islands.
I'm so happy my travel agent gave me a partial refund for my holiday. I took my family to Solomon Islands last year and felt very threatened by the youth who obviously have some social media inspired anti western mindset. I did not feel safe I have since learned the Chinese paid Solomon Islands Government $$$ to control media and online content. Maybe this was the reason for such racism against a neighbour. I've never viewed Solomon Islanders as being unfriendly. Very sad

ONLY PEOPLE WHO ARE SAIL BOAT OWNERS CAN ENJOY THESE PLACES IN THE PACIFIC TO THE FULL. UNFORTUNATELY, VERY FEW PEOPLE HAVE THE MONEY AND TIME, NOT TO MENTION INTEREST AND INTELLIGENCE, TO EXPLORE THE WORLD IN A SAILBOAT.
