Well it looks like you proved me wrong, I thought this be impossible to do solo. But this just blows my mind away :o This is like TAS levels of insane with all the planning and luck, where even then you have a small chance at winning. Lot of things I never even considered like having 3 Bananas and no Candy or keeping your HP low on a certain range. Heck, seeing Laid-Back being used is surprising. I doubt I'd have the time and patience to attempt this myself so kudos to you for doing this :'D Since beating Dark Sun alone is possible, I suppose the only challenge left is Tower of Dread solo and that I think for sure is truly impossible lol

Well fancy seeing you here! I'm glad you appreciate what went into this, it definitely required a lot of strategizing and a ton of grinding for the perfect lucky streak. I was pretty sure it was impossible too, but I tried it out just for kicks. Then after many, many tries I eventually reached phase 2 and changed my mind. And yeah, Tower of Dread solo is NEVER happening considering it takes almost everything just to beat the Dark Sun.

@@ag64oragm56 If hyper sprinkles were integrated into the strategy the Dark Sun could perhaps be defeated more efficiently. I now think it may have been wrong of me to write them off as mostly useless, especially in phase 2 with no nightmare to cancel them. But even with the HP/MP saved from that possibility that other bosses eat up way too many resources to allow the Dark Sun to be beaten at the end. Without some new crazy trick I haven't thought of, I see no way this could be done.

Wow, I’m impressed, I never imagined this being possible. Deserves more views. Also, I really want to change one of my party members to a elf, but I don’t want to have to grind for who knows how long to level them up, and I don’t want to swap one of them out with a elf from the ville because I’m way to attached to the party members I already have.

-3 months late reply hello- comin' from someone who's changed my imp's job like 3 times now, trust me, you won't have to worry about grinding them up. just bring em to new lumos or something, watch as they go from level 1 to like level 12 in one battle, repeat a couple times, and you're good to go. when i swapped my imp to a mage, they still whooped a considerate amount of ass even when they were like 20 levels lower than the rest of the party lol

Been a long time since I played Miitopia but I totally remember trying this as Mage, it only took a couple of tries to beat but it's still a very tricky challenge even with attack knowledge, ik im 2 years late but major props

It was a LOOONG time so I can't remember the strats down to each play, but the raw DPS on Mage was enough to reduce the turns to a reasonable amount so I had enough sprinkles. Forgot the spell name but max fire did roughly 500-600 damage normally, 999 on the chirpy pull. I know I did similar strats to maximise HP sprinkles efficiently as well as shields as in the video tho, so yea, I think it was just the DPS that carried me lol

Finally found this video again lol Once I finish my 100% run on the Switch version I'm absolutely gonna solo the Dark Sun with Mage again (I'll record it of course) I also wanna see if that *other* boss would even be possible solo... Considering it's followed up by other hard bosses I highly doubt it.

apparently i've been sleeping on hp bananas all this time. huh i mean on a full party you can just abuse safe spot so it makes sense i never noticed hp bananas

I have doubled this with warrior and mage but dang did it take me atleast 3 hours you have major guts and your insane. You have to eat 500 bananas to upgrade the healing to 500 HP. I 100%'d this game prior to doing this.

Btw I have a question I restarted the game and I’m using warrior mage vampire and thief all lvl 41 and they all have 200+ defense and attack but when the asteroid attack happened he did over a thousand damage each time he hit me it did 150+ and he hit me like 5 -7 times is it just that I’m not high enough level? Or does it have something to do with my jobs? Are my stats not that good? Got any tips?

I don't know how the damage calculations in Miitopia work. My tip would be invest in relationships between your miis because the relationship abilities are ridiculously overpowered in Miitopia imo.

I know I’m a little late but can I ask a question? Is this possible with other classes? Because I was thinking that the tank might work due to the damage reduction and self repair or maybe the scientist since they have a heal ability and automatic safety masks that counter debuffs.

@BabyGhast4 Scientist's safety mask is luck based so I doubt avoiding nightmares _sometimes_ would make up for the decreased defense (no barrier is no good), and its healing isn't very high. I never actually thought about tank but the auto damage reduction triggers at rather low odds (not to mention is restricted to standard attacks only) and the repair ability takes too long to be usable in my opinion. The only other class I can actually see this being possible with is mage because it also has barrier access. Though I'm pretty sure its skills aren't MP efficient enough to not run out before the Dark Sun is defeated, unless you stick to the weak skills but that would take way too long.

@@Lenare I’ve actually defeated the dark sun yesterday! It wasn’t solo, but the ending was pretty climactic. My team was me(cleric), my older brother(mage), my sister(pop star) and my younger brother(tank). Here’s the ending: The sun had little health left and it managed to kill me, I had no life sprinkles and my sister was dead so there was no way to revive me which meant there was no healer. My death made my brothers furious and they used a lot of bonus attacks and killed the sun.

Pretty late to this video but I'm hoping you might be able to advise me here - would this be possible with other personalities? I was thinking Stubborn or Cool may be possible but I'd be interested to hear your thoughts

Cool has status negation, which is somewhat decent. Avoiding nightmares sometimes is alright, but honestly nightmare isn't that bad compared to the sun's attacks. The dodging quirk only works for single target attacks, all of which are quite weak attacks anyway. Overall these defensive benefits are lackluster IMO. Stubborn is just bad though. Bracing for impact is just a worse version of cool's dodging, since it only triggers for single target attack as well. The double attack quirk seems good, but it has a low trigger rate and only occurs if you don't defeat an enemy. Since defeating medals as quick as possible is optimal, this quirk will almost never trigger. Overall the DPS increase and defensive gain is almost negligible. I find every personality to be significantly worse than laid-back, but maybe if the strategy is improved the fight could be completed without abusing laid-back RNG.

Can confirm the stubborn half. It’s especially annoying when your mii only guards medals, since by now they should only do one, and in a horse whispering run you’d need to waste double the amount of MP sprinkles to make sure again has a window, and when you’re burning through hundreds at a time, MP is a precious resource especially when your horse doesn’t use cheek rub for a few turns straight

ive got pratically maxed equipment on all 4 miis of my team lol i only need more food and a bit more friendship and im completely maxed L

And you used every trick in the book to make it happen

I just spammed sneak attack with a max level thief, had my cleric in the safe spot most of the match, and had the rest of my team just fight it

The best method I came up with was running through the 6th district of New Lumos with a bunch of low level miis and the higher level one you want to level up. That way the game gives you bonus exp, which you can give to the higher level mii. Then after every trip, check the Roulette until you get "a royal portion" of exp as an option that takes up a sizeable portion of the wheel. Then just blow all your game tickets on it since that is by far the biggest source of exp. I'd recommend waiting a number of days to amass many game tickets before starting.

You would think, but cool only dodges basic attacks, so group attacks like black hole can't be dodged. Also you really need extra damage in some way or you'll run out of mp before defeating the Dark Sun.

Done it with an elf traveler. Barrier on a Warrior = a literal heavy tank. In a realistic sense, I mean it *VERY* literally.
