​@@ry-lazer4328 The Fiends might kill the Cleric in Turn 1, so you gotta have multiple Clerics or use somebody else's Cleric (Clerics you didn't make don't take damage NOR participate in friendship-causing actions)

i still believe to this day that the red fiend floor is still the hardest floor. if you’ve got your sprinkles maxed out and you know how the safe spot works, the lords and the snurps are fine. it’s those fiends that make or break the boss rush. rng makes me cry every time

Good tip. Use the elf. Make the elf your role and keep using dancing arrow. The red fiend isn’t considered a boss so it will get infinite stunned. Just let your teammates do the rest of the work

Make sure to borrow another Cleric. Miis you borrow aren't active in the fight, meaning they don't take damage or make bonds with YOUR Miis. But they can still attack or support.

My personal thought about each floor of this tower. - Elite goblins : Not "very" hard, but more unpredictable since they can deal either enormous damage or ridiculous damage. Also the taunt is not that helpful at it would be because sometime it piss your cleric off who can't heal or revive in that state. That's pretty much it tho. - Heavy Golem : definitly the easiest battle. His attack can hurt 3 targets at once but his damage is absurdly low for a tower of despair boss and he doesn't have anything more in his kit so it's a free one. - Neon pharaoh : They are not hard. They just are SO ANNOYING. They alternate between dealing damage and curse ur party each turn which make the fight unecesseraly long and annoying. That's all for it. - Big serpent : his aoe attack is the only threat to look out for. As long as it doesn't spam it and use it more than once during his turn, u should be safe. Just remember to keep ur healer safe just in case. - Gourmet burgers : just like the pharaohs, they are SO GODAMN ANNOYING as there damage is low and eating 3 of ur members is just making the fight way longer than it should be. Nothing more to say about it. - Red fiend and blue godness : Do I have to say anything about them ? Of course they are huge run killers and unexpected to be seen in a first run. I lost my first run there. The red fiend can pretty much always insta-kill one of ur member each turn and the blue godness aoe skill deal disgusting damage. All of this combine make healing, switching safe spots and figuring a strategy a nightmare. Which is frustrating because if u lose there, u have to restart the tower from the start and deal with all the annoying fights again in order to get a second try. My best tip to deal with them is to analyse the turn order of the fight and always keep ur healer in the safe spot during the red fiend turn and pray that the blue godness dont go for their aoe too often. In any case, u will need a decent amount of luck to win this fight. The good point of this fight is that once u take down one of them, the fight become quickly easier. - Light sage and lord: the light lord is not a big threat. The biggest threat is definitly the light sage. If u dont play with a class that can reduce damage taken like the archer, keep in mind that his fire aiming attack will kill one of ur member evry time in goes off. But as long as u keep the second aimed in the safe spot during his turn and also keep ur healer safe, it's definitly managable because a cleric can revive ur fallen member almost evry time. The light lord only annoying move is his status move and also his aoe but not that much. Also, just like the previous fight, once u take down one of them, the fight is basically won. - King snurp : the secret boss, the very last battle of the game. But surprisingly not that hard. Yes he can attack multiple time each turn and can hit 3 targets but his damage is only decent. Yes he can affect ur whole party with random effects but it's not a big deal and sometime can even be benefic. And finaly, yes he can spawn minions snurp who are definitly dangerous because they deal high damage but u can easily negate their only attack because it's a single target aiming attack that u can avoid with the safe spot once u analysed the turn order correctly which turn them from dangerous to literaly useless. So yes, in the end, this is not hard for a secret final boss. In the end, the tower of despair is decently managable even with a team below lvl 50. If u know how to use the safe spot at his full potential, then u should be doing well. My big advice is to have a team with high relation levels because the duo skills are more usefull than u think, especially the vengence for the red fiend fight. Finally my personnal recommendation for a team is the following : a archer (especially for urself because the protection barrier are very usefull), a vampire, a cleric (among all the class with a heal u should definitly choose the cleric because the revive skill is more accurate than the other classes) and a knight for the tank role. This is still my personal opinion tho. For the personality, i dont really have any other suggestions than cool because it doesn't have any disadvantage in battle.

Yeah idk I never found Boss Snurp super difficult, it's just a super long battle for some reason. 6th floor though is probably the hardest boss in the game imo, even if you get rid of the Red Fiend quickly, the Blue Godesses do INSANE damage, can't he OHKO'd, and have a lot of hp. 7th floor is probably the second hardest floor for me, but it's nowhere near the difficulty of the one before it. And yeah, 3 and 5 feel like filler, they aren't hard in the slightest, just annoying because of how LONG they drag on for. I honestly wish Nintendo would either add an update, or maybe some DLC with a new challenge, and make it LEGITIMATELY hard, like the Tower of Supreme Dread mod or something like that, but uhhh it's been 3 years 🥲 so I doubt they'll ever do it, and instead focus on taking down emulators for dead consoles... for some reason. ._.

Bring a chef, cleric or imp with you to this tower as the red fiend CAN be insta-killed. It’s the only enemy in the tower that is NOT classified as a boss enemy. This spares your teammates having to constantly revive the others.

People who used clerics got the easily way out, I had a flower a chef a mage and a warrior

I kept my cleric in the safe spot for basically the entirety of the burger fight. I’d take him out SOMETIMES to heal, but he kinda just sat there. The burgers can’t eat 3 party members if one is in the safe spot. They always leave exactly one mii on the battlefield, and if they happen to leave something tanky like a Warrior out there, you’re in a pretty good position. It gets dicey if they leave a frailer class like the princess, but you can deal with that by carefully bringing out your cleric, making sure to put them back in the safe spot before the burgers move again. Anyways, the red imp and his stupid queens were the hardest bosses in the tower for me easily. They try their hardest to eat up all your resources before the final 2 floors. Many commenters have said this, but KEEP YOUR HEALER SAFE. If you can bring your life sprinkle into the boss snurp fight, you’ll be putting yourself in a pretty good position. Boss snurp really isn’t that difficult if you conserve resources on all the previous floors. Horse whispering on the scientist is pretty good for boss snurp, dealing massive damage PLUS splash damage on his tiny little servant snurps. I’m sure I could’ve beaten it without horse whispering, but dang it sure made it easier. Speaking of horse whispering, conserve your MP as much as you can. Candies, sprinkles, whatever you’ve got. Play conservatively on early floors. If you’re struggling with MP, try bringing an energetic mii or a princess (or both. I brought an energetic princess) and make sure everyone’s relationships are good with the horse. Cheek rub was a life saver for me. Personally, I got everyone to lvl50 friendship with the horse for neigh II. That comes in clutch when your miis are crying. I’m curious about what teams people have used with no cleric. Surely there’s multiple people who beat the tower with no clerics, but I’m curious about their alternative. I brought a Scientist (me), A cleric, a princess, and a warrior, but I beat the tower of dread with a flower instead of a cleric. (I forget my exact team for the tower of dread).

I think the best team for this challenge is an Imp (For lowered enemy guarding), a Cleric (For healing), a Vampire (Because he can bypass the Red Fiend's astounding magic defense and the Enthrall power) and an Elf (For the Forest Aegis and Blessing and Counter Arrow)

@@ysc_josh Yeah. But RA is a random chance based thing that doesn’t always work. Dancing Arrow has a 100% chance of working in non-boss enemies, which the Red Fiend is counted as.

My ideal team is such: Cat (Sharpen Claws + Feline Frenzy), Elf (Forest Aegis + Counter Arrow), Vampire (strong all around), Princess (drops enemy guard AND Blindfold against status ailments). Granted I'd also recommend a Cleric as a Traveler's Hub companion.

i've beat the tower of despair on my old save with a mage, cleric, chef and warrior i restarted on a new save as i hadn't played this game for a while and have finally got to new lumos, my team now is a cat, cleric, vampire and warrior - no distinct or major changes but i still can't wait to see if i can beat it again

It breaks barriers as well and barriers are one of the things that make the Elf class so broken on the player character, the only other way to get barriers is with the Mage's barrier skill but Elf can grant it to anyone while Mage's can only do it on themselves

When I Tried To Defeat Tower Of Despair I Couldn’t I Change Should My Teammate’s Job Like Purple Thief To Mage Because It Not Easy When I Used The Wrong Job I Lost By Blue Goddesses And Red Fiend

I'm really not convinced on thief's strengh here, he didn't do much but well this class is rng and is terrible against aoe situations. Personally i did it with clerk elf vampire and mage ( classic op team ngl ). Clerk's healing is just so good, elf after its 4th turn setting up the barriers you almost already won the fight ngl especially with a clerk in the party, Mage deals just so much damage and vampire too while allowing a lot of safety? Vampire Clerk elk is just abusive in terms of survival :') and the funniest is that they do so much damage after they set up.
