Man, the amount of love poured into the details and everything is absolutely incredible

Imps are super cute! Their wings and tail do lots of things when sad, angry, etc. Such as going droopy when upset, poking upwards when mad, or even flapping their wings when happy! Cat tails do the same thing, it's super cute!

oh this was really informative! also another little tidbit i wanna add, but usually gets glossed over, but did you know that the warrior's snap out it ability has a different animation if that mii is in a quarrel with another mii? instead of it being a regular slap, the slap is instead strong enough to knock the mii over

Oh! Yes that's hilarious! This plays out the same when clerics need to heal a mii they have a quarrel with. Instead of a normal flavor text, it will say "Healing [mii they are angry at], begrudgingly..."

@@apocalypseofplush I was considering doing a run where I use people with healing abilities but they are all stubborn, for the first area I would make everyone clerics, for the second I’d make them Chefs and for the third I would make them all flowers so they’ll constantly be angry at each other

I remember lots of this details on the 3DS and I love that they added more it’s so heartsome to show that Nintendo cares about there games 🥰

Its amazing that they actually took the time to program in all these subtle details that most players wouldn't notice! Thank you for documenting these!

It's also cool how it wasn't named 'Male Popstar' or 'Female Popstar' anymore. With my Popstar character, I switch between the two costume sets so they can be either one whenever.

It makes me happy remembering how much people put into the games they make, even tiny details most players wouldn't even notice their first time through without being told what to look for, just one of those things that makes ya smile ^^

i never noticed the ear twitch thing, but something i DID notice is: in the "sleep" stable event, cats do a lil tail wag when they wake up (it might do the same thing with imps since they also have tails, but i haven't put that theory to the test yet)

Oohhh I don't often catch the stable event with the cat job on, so that's a nice detail! I could test it myself too

Blesd your Soul for this 😶... Also another thing i noticed is that.... When interacting the npcs when doing the main story(to be more specific, after the event relating to them is happening/has happened) they will have an extra dialogue going with it! For example if you talk to one of the guards in the castle when doing the quest of finding besmiched noble'son, they will have an extra dialogue relating to that. And if you talk to the worried mother after battling the goblins and saving her son and besmiched noble's son, she will have an extra dialogue relating to that. I know its very minor and easy to miss(since who would talk to the npcs everytime after main story plot happen) but for me its make the npcs more aware of their surroundings and alive. Sorry for rambling so long!

Something I noticed is when you try to use Cheer On with the Pop Star and one of the Miis is in a quarrel,some text appears over the Mii who had a they had a fight with saying "Can't feel it..." and they make an -_- face.

I LOVE THE DETAILS SO MUCH choosing the right personality is so important and each one of them have their pros and cons and i love it

I don’t know if you done this yet but, I think the reaction to the lovey dovey couple is based on personality, my mii’s personality is cool and it’s just a drooped down body but your mii was a thinking pose.

I'd already figured some of these out (but damn if there weren't a lot I would have never even thought of) and it was the most fun part of making my concepts for original personalities. If only mod magic could extend far enough to make them reality... Also, I really thought the Thief trap dialogue had to do with personality, not gender! Thanks for clearing that up... _[rushes to the personality doc to fix]_

This must of taken ages to setup and record, props for that As somebody who may of spent too much time on 3ds version (I tried my best for 100% of medals, didn't make it in time for Switch ver) it's nice to know somebody else knows of this

i never realised the laid-back cheer on its own sounded similar too the mii plus motion game voices 😃

Something worth mentioning about laid back miis, is when they're hyper and activate avenge, it does not dispell the hyper buff? so you can deal 999 with maximum emotion level on most classes

You probably already knew this but, it's so cute if you have two cat jobs! they will meow at eachother in a cutscene, no idea if other jobs are like that though?

All personality poses [cool flipping their hair, laid-back stretching their arms, etc] are present when you first make the miis too! Gotta love this game, even if I just have the DS version

Of course! Though that one ain't too subtle since we do add plenty of Miis in our party from time to time and that's where the animation for each personality shows up for the first time. What is subtle is where those animations popup later.

5:29 For some reason 99% of the letters my team got from another mii, were from my banana dealer aka my mii self. Literally every letter they sent included bananas. They are the reason why I never ran out of bananas. They aren't even the main character. They are just friends with them

This just makes me want a new Tomodachi Life even more.

According to the thumbnail, if L died, Mo wouldn't say "Grrr...", she might say "Glll...", just made it up lol

I didnt notice alot of these and went along with it, im so glad i found this video Thanks for pointing out all of that for us Edit: another thing i wanna mention is that Rarely sometimes stubborn miis will take in the orange mysterious bottle, i know cause ive seen it once or twice because my mii is stubborn as heck, shes me irl, anyways Yea sometimes the stubborn miis will take the mysterious bottle but chances are very low and its rare on how i see it maybe a 10% or a 5% at most

Some personality’s I would be so mad at during big fights but they had some advantages

I actually noticed some of them (mostly cutscenes since my team has a ton of different personalities) but this is still very interesting!

I really enjoy seeing these subtle details. Probably one of my favourites has to be the letter ones since you can see how different personalities interact with one another, which is really cute. Then again I can say with almost 100% certainty that my favourite dialogue in the games is from Air-headed Miis. And this isn't based on bias either.

Laid back Miis are the only ones who can stack the Avenge damage bonus with another such as flattered or excited, that can easily cause devastating blows that hit for 999 damage.

I have a scene of a cool mage and a laid-back vampire ativing avenge. It was rosalina and yuni avenging waluigi after he sacrificed himself to protect yuni from being knocked down.

In regards to the HP Banana Letter thing, that happened to me once. My Mii(based on my persona) got Bananas from Chrom(my Stubborn Warrior), and my Mii said "She" about Chrom. So I'm glad I wasn't the only one who saw that as odd

The amount of love put into the miitopia/tomodachi franchise are really what make them so beloved and memorable 👏🩷

When picked up in the inn to move rooms, the miis personality changes the animation for when they get picked up

I think the poses the personalities do the most are the "signature poses" e.g. Airheaded: spins and raises hand to chin Cautious: Jumps and does a kneeling pose Cool: looks down and swings head to the left with left arm on hip Energetic: jumps and raises arms Kind: does a small jump and a small bounce (?) Laid Back: stretches arms up and around and does a "ready" pose Stubborn: does a flex while slightly bending down

Something I did forget to mention was the animations they do during menus such as setting off from the inn, sprinkles and safe spot The only two I remember completely without any reference is that Stubborn does a deep thinking and Air headed does a wave to the above. Edit: Kind scratches their heads, energetic does an arm swing, cool does something with their arm (idk what to call it), cautious does a worried preparation, laidback yawns and scratches their backside.

And these also vary by region. For example, Cool will say "Oh no you didn't..." in the European version instead of just "..." like the American version.

You know, the cheer they make when they find an inn reminds me of Pikmin.

With the HP banana in a mii's pocket event thing, I did see the ones for the cautious and stubborn miis at one point when they feel something in their pocket (yes, I did see it for both). Sadly, I don't remember the dialogue for them for when the realize that something's in their pocket. I remember that one of two cautious miis put the banana in the pocket of my other cautious mii and they had this dialogue after reading the note: "I didn't mean to make you worry, (cautious mii name here).." As for the stubborn mii after reading the note, I think it went like this: "I'll keep it anyways!" (or something along those lines lol). I'll probably update this if I remember what the cautious and stubborn mii's dialogue is when they realize that there's something in their pocket. I just wanted to mention this.

Well... That is something not too subtle + it's specifically in the game files, hmm... Can showcase it tho

Let's not forget that since the Switch is "region free", by switching the region to "Europe" set to "English", you get the elusive "UK Sub" where majority of the lines (including lines in the main story) completely change to fit the region

@@ecclering97 it's not just the names (because in the game files, the Dark Lord is called Satan by default) it's the sentences told by the characters (like the Great Sage) which gives them a different perspective character-wise
