You always get two blue circles and two purple circles, so after the 2nd or 3rd cast you can essentially know what is coming next.

Thanks man! And yeah for sure about ignite. I did play around with it on the target dummy and it felt questionable whether it was going to add that much damage vs just reloading and shooting again (crossbow doesn't have Magical Damage on it like the Magic Staff does and since it's normals the gearset generally has +0 add damage mods). It's definitely worth revisiting and crunching further.

@@dagttv2604 u probably would of lost dps if u were casting unless before u switch to crossbow u cast and just crossbow the rest

2:00 I think you can spread the damage to the mobs as well. I'm not 100% sure but if you stand near a bunch of melee skeletons, it might reduce the dmg.. maybe not though, never tested it.

@@dagttv2604 That would be really weird if they patched it. It's an AoE -- it should spread the damage to ANY nearby entity. Doesn't seem like a bug but they just wanted to make the fight harder?

@@Murasame13Yeah, I'm not sure. While I haven't tested it I also haven't noticed the purple or blue curses being variable in damage at all.

Enjoyin the vids, its definitely a challenge and you for sure need crossbow to finish without running out of spells. I have a feeling HR lich is close to impossible on solo wiz due to the enrage mechanic, I could see maybe getting through 1 or 2 curses but the zone/enraged mobs pretty much ensures you wont survive a purple curse at some point. If you could pull it off though it'd be crazy!

Thanks man! I've been trying HR Lich and you are right about it being very difficult.

Im pretty sure for the purple circle you can use the skeletons around you to decrease the dmg

I've actually been attempting HR Lich without much success. You might be onto something with dealing damage between skeleton waves via melee. I think the problem is you likely only have enough AoE spells to clear the archers once or twice so you'd have to sort out meleeing everything.

5:36 gotta admit that DAD has caught the essense of DND -- wizards run out of spell quickly and at that time they'll simply go for the old reliable CROSSBOW

I started trying for Lich on the 14th. I'm honestly not sure how many attempts it took. I think a safe guess would be 10-15.

Yeah, honestly feels a little weird but I think if you talk to Dungeons & Dragons enjoyers they will tell you it's a staple of the fantasy.

Is it possible with a Barb? I NEEEEEED boss kills is all I need

I'm not sure. You'd probably have to clear at least some (possibly all) of the adds and then deal damage before he respawns them. You also might be able to buy a tonne of throwing axes and follow the same strategy I used... it would just depend on if an inventory full is enough damage to kill him.
