i feel like stuff like this is fun, recently got so much hate for liking pve over pvp, and thus getting demi god.. but ive found that the pve is extremely rewarding and engaging in this game. Great vid

Thanks man! PvE is certainly much more relaxing. Hopefully when the Arena game mode comes out that it satisfies the desire for some sort of purely PvP metric.

I believe the reason behind enemies having positive magic resist is due to one of the game's oldest balance changes. Back when there was no PvP, they found wizards to be too effective at killing everything, so in PT2, they made the decision to give all PvE magic resist rather than altering damage numbers for spells.

Dang that's kinda crazy for it to have remained in for so long. I hope they can figure out something so that Wizards can reasonable deal with PvE via spells.

@@dagttv2604 Well, the answer to that is Ignite. Bonking enemies with an ignited magic staff applies the staff's magic damage to each additional ignite damage, essentially doubling it with a blue or higher staff. Plus, magic missiles with the staff melts everything anyway.

Awesome work dude. Love to see it. Regarding your comments about the lich's projectile randomly doing damage, you might be taking AoE from it hitting the skeletons next to you, since his shot attack actually explodes in an aoe when it hits something. Just a possible answer to what you were talking about.

Thanks man. I had no idea that there was an AoE component to his attack. I should re-review my clips and see if that's what was happening.

Thanks for doing all the research to make this possible. Getting the ads to kill the Lich is a good idea, but if they get the final shot, I think you don't get loot from its body.

No problem. The challenge was enjoyable. If the adds kill Lich instead of you he will still drop loot but your Luck stat won't be applied. If you have some Luck then it gives a chance to increase the rarity of the loot.

did u test if ignite procs on throwing knives? dope video bro... actually legend

ignite's fire is bugged on small weapons, however, ignite works on every weapon for every class

Yeah it works. I tested it on a dummy to get a feel for how much damage I could rely on throwing knives for.

I wonder whats causing you to get hit with his attacks as you said in the video. I have solod lich more times then I can count on warlock, but ive never once been killed by his attack unless I did something stupid and changed my direction

Yeah, I'm not sure man. Another commenter suggested that Lich's attack can splash off of the skeletons so that could probably explain some of the hits.

incredibly impressive, i still struggle soloing it on normal as ranger, i swear the curse of gathering is bugged and 1 shots certain classes even with full hp. Idk how it works but it seems very rng based whether you can win or not in solo unless theres something i don't understand about the curse

Thanks man. I didn't find that the Curse of Gathering would kill me unless I had already taken damage. Do you think maybe you were also getting hit around the same time that the curse detonates? It's also possible it could be bugged in some way ... it deals like 95% damage so if negative magic resist applies or some sort of damage amplification is present at all then it would easily one shot.

grats, would you say that it is worth soloing the lich even if you use trolls blood do you think you would make profit?

Thanks man! Definitely not on Wizard. I probably died 10-12 times before finally getting a kill and there were many more attempts in which I had to abort with invis. I was making profit but each Lich attempt chipped away at that. This was definitely just for the accomplishment and unless something big changes with Wizard PvE balance or the Lich fight itself I'll probably not do it again. For quest progression it makes much more sense to knock it out in normals (kzread.info/dash/bejne/qqV_rqV7hNunmbg.html). But hopefully next season we see some changes with boss kills in the quest objectives to throw solo players a bone.

Pretty sure if you scale warlock equally to him you can do it, would probably be easier. With being able to passively kill mobs to your advantage using curse. I imagine you could do it faster being able to repeatedly cast your max damage at no limit

Yeah, should be much easier on Warlock. You can just spam the big slow moving nuke (hell fire?).

Does boss hp regen if aggro is reset?

Yeah, it does. There also might be some protections which negate a player's damage if they are outside the room.

@@dagttv2604 i dont think it is because you actually have to consistently kill the adds in order to even be able to move around in there and if you do that, then you will run out of spells

idk but ironhammer made all skeles have magic resistance even mobs and the skins you can put on

Hey man, I'm not sure what witch's curse is. I probably mumbled and you thought I was saying Witch's Curse instead of Lich's Curse, haha. Lich has two curses: 1 - Curse of Gathering, purple, deals less damage based on the number of players hit. 2 - Curse of Isolation, blue, deals more damage based on the number of players hit.

why hide your name?

The loot wasn't even worth the effort.....

Haha, nope, not for this one. Definitely just for the accomplishment. If it's quest completion you want then doing Lich in normals makes more sense and if it's loot / currency then ... just not doing Lich as a solo Wizard makes more sense.
