I don't really comment on youtube videos but I feel obligated to say that your way of filming/documenting feels fresh to watch, usually these hiking/camping video format are always quiet and I guess more to the cinematography side since you know, the inspired by Kraig Adams phenomena (not saying it's bad, perhaps a bit redundant) hence why seeing your way to engage more with the audience while keeping it entertaining is really a breath of fresh air and as for me I can learn a thing or two on how to "survive". With that I really hope to see you grow as a channel, for a channel this small the quality is quite high and I feel needs more traction. I hope by reading this gives more hope for you to continue filming, I really do enjoy the content and I'm sure the people following are as well. Have a nice day. +1 for storytelling as well

Duude! This was absolutely amazing. The trip itself would be enough, but the layers of comedy, coventional and visual, was just icing on the cake. It felt fresh, snappy and exciting, and kept me engaged througout. Great job!

Xander, this might be my fav winter video you've posted. So organic and humbling. I greatly appreciate the many comments you've made about protecting nature in your videos, even during a survival situation. I have 0 experience and have only camped a few times in my life, but watching your vids is giving me confidence to do my first this coming Winter. I may have to pick your brain about where to go closer to the season. :)

Beautifully done. Loved "Wilson"! I admire people who are so comfortable in the outdoors that they can make a winter shelter like this and actually spend the night!

I live in the warm coastal area of California, but have good friends that routinely go ice climbing etc in the mountains. Your channel has convinced me to go snow camping with them next year. Keep it up!

Loving your videos lately. It a amazes me that even someone as accomplished as yourself in the outdoor game can make it a little comfy. It's very hard to make a good shelter/night without the sleeping bag. Many of us wouldnt survive a night in the snow.

The more I watch your stuff, the more I think we might share a common ancestor... Among other things, I was planning this same parody for this summer haha. Great stuff and love the notes on conservation when you harvested the boughs. The fact that you include that with your fast-paced style says a lot 👍👍

Thank you so much Xander for your videos. I thank youtube everyday for recommending me your channel. Your videos have helped me so much. I’d be amazed to know that you are NOT a successful professional photographer or something. The filming, post production, ambient sound without the background noise, its just amazing! Also, I’m new to Canada and I recently discovered hiking. Your videos inspire me to go out and explore more and your amazing solo camping tips are like noteworthy, and this is coming from a college student! Again, I want to thank you so much for being an amazing guy and filling our lives with joy, which nowadays people desperately need haha. PS: Tip for grilling kebabs or skewered food- just place it directly above the fire with a little longer supports. It’ll cook much faster and better!

Hey Xander, I'm enjoying your videos. Your sense of humor and upbeat personality makes for fun viewing! I especially appreciate the "cut to the chase" video filming. My pet peeve is watching a video of a foot by foot by foot by foot hiking through the woods or a stick by stick by stick making of a fire to watch water come to a slow boil. It's like watching grass grow! My eyes slowly close and the next thing know is the video is finally over and the only pleasure I've experienced is a good nap!
