Solo Winter Beach Fishing attempt to find big fish | Overnight in a POD

Ойын-сауық

Join Graeme on a solo winter beach fishing attempt on a uk beach fishing mark. He also stays overnight in a tiny pod. This is one of those films where you feel as though you are actually fishing alongside Graeme. First he tries his luck at a huge expanse of boulder-covered beach next to a Nuclear Power station, then he shows you where he crashed for a few hours overnight, a strange unit called a "POD". Plus he hits another beach fishing alone hoping his hunch that a big fish might come after darkness, coinciding with a high tide. It's all there...the sound of the surf, the fishing rigs and the fish. Finally, a decent beach session for Graeme as he does his best to bring you all a watchable and entertaining film. Almost an hour long, so get your feet up, and a drink sorted. Enjoy!

John, Love the narrative. As a lad my buddy who used his brother's dinghy would go fishing at tidewater ( a tributary of the lower Hudson River) when school was out in late June after the Striped Bass fishing was done. At low tide the water was very clear by the early summer 's light streamflow. We would gather all the lures we could find. Lots of fun.

Cool video Graeme. My default sea fishing location is near enough the opposite side of the channel to where you are on this one. I live in Penarth and so fish the beach, and Lavernock point, on on to Sully, more than anywhere else as it's convenient/lazy. What I've got from this episode is that the shore landscape is like a mirror image to that of over here, with the muddy water colour to match. Also, fossils and lost tackle in abundance, both of which I end up lumbering home with, in the absence of a catch. Sometimes the fishing is good here, othertimes it's just fossils & leads! Hey ho. I just love being out by the sea (or river, or lake), night or day. It's my life. Thanks again. Raymondo

G'day Graeme, just catch'n up on the last few vids mate; pardon the pun, a couple of points If I may; man that rock beach must be hard on the ankles, but a rock seat is always handy, or some fallen steps, lol. Those fossils are very cool too. The ol' white tip rods sure come into their own, I've done a couple, and the rest are on the hit list. Previously; top strategy to walk the dog and recon a potential location or two at the same time. Vinegar to tart up rusty hook;s, bloody 'ell why didn't I think of that, I'm sure we've all got plenty. Nice furniture reno, understand the trend, though all those legs/skirts covered with paint breaks my heart, lol. Cheers Duke.

Wow that's a brilliant session, their's beaches on the isle of man where I live that hold good fish and I'm sure if I put some time in I could catch thorne backs or other flatfish species it just really difficult to get good bait for these beaches cuz ideally you need rag and or lungworm if you're gonna fish the slow shelving sand beaches that being said I've never night fished on a beach down the end of the island where I live. Even being a local their's still always more local knowledge that comes into play. Anyway hopefully I'll get out and report back with some good news soon. Really enjoyed the episode that's a dream session for me.

Nice video, those thornbacks are lovely. Will consider hitting Somerset this summer
