I called up Solo Werks for some general info on their S1 Coilovers for my '17 Alltrack. I ended up speaking with Jeremy who answered a ton of my questions about their performance in snow/ salt. Hi, do you have any issues with carrying weight in the back? Are you hitting the bump stops more often on bumpy roads or is the spring stiffness enough to compensate for the lower height + cargo weight? Thanks!

No, I have photos with the car fully loaded top to bottom, including a roof basket stuffed as well. We do have another rear set of springs we can provide as well. What was the answer to snow and salt..do they damage or something

I just received my Solo Werks S1 coilovers for my 2019 r-line vw jetta. They look amazing! Cant wait to install them on Monday. I do have a question, do you guys have decals? I was hoping to receive one within the box. But I definitely would like to buy one.

They have the highest quality zinc coating you can get, it's rated at 340hours of continuous salt testing. Good way to keep them clean is rub and spray T-9 Boesheild every season. We include a small bottle for install.

What are the wheels on the Tiguan? Love them!

Jason on this particular build we used 034Motorsport front strut mounts and rear mounts. PN rear 034-601-3001 PN front 034-601-1007-SD

@@jasonlaid1129 The OEM mounts are the best way to go, as there have been inconsistent quality in the aftermarket mounts. Plus being a high durometer rubber, the winters can transmit louder road noise through the chassis. Now raising the car up, be careful. Going to high you can top out the shocks. For the alignment, going down tends to cause major toe in eating your tires. Going back up will bring toe out slightly, couldn't tell you how much. I'd be curious. Many clients do it yearly with no complaints.

If you're talking about the top rear pad, no. You don't reuse that part. You only use the locking plastic portion in the bottom of the control arm.

No you don't use the oem spring isolator, on the adjustable perch is a isolator. If you use the oem one, it will not seat properly when installing.

Very rare that the diameter of the wheel & tire vary with different rim sizes...

what is the maximum height on coilovers?

The variations? Don’t all cars have the same? If it says it fits a 2013 VW Jetta sportwagen 2.5 s, they should be completely uniform, why should I have to measure???? It says it fits or doesn’t it????

You aren't providing enough information to give a solid answer here. Sportwagen from 2013 is a MK6 platform. Not even the same as this video. So I'm assuming you're talking about strut diameter? They are not all the same. Standard Mk6 Jetta S will have 50mm strut housing. Your Sportwagen will be a 55mm. If you need more info or help email me at info@solo-werks.com

Can these run at stock height?

The rods are shorter for lowering, so you can't ride stock height. If you push them up to high they'll get pretty twitchy, and bouncy. I think 15 inch fender lip to center of the wheel hub, is stock. These will sit 13.6- 14inches.
