I feel sorry for ANYBODY who lives in Texas. I lived there for 2 years and couldn't take the weather. I was born and raised in the South so when I finally got to Minnesota, praise the Lord, I stayed put! Been living in Minnesota now for over 25 years an lovin' it!

Nice camper Brian, you kept talking about the Cardinal at your mirror and window. I don’t know if you believe in the spirits, but if you see a Red Cardinal it’s usually a loved one who passed away.

Just discovered your channel. I’m a fan of Crazy Quady, Jonathan Yench and Mav. I just love these camping videos that you guys turnout and the talent involved. Love the way you have the floor lights in your camper and the nice window curtains your wife made for you. Keep on camping and take that son of yours on some adventures. He’ll be hooked for life.

just a note: If you hook-up to shore power, especially at those pedestals, you may want to get used to metering the output volts on the shore power before plugging into it with your truck or any inverters. Just a reminder that campsites are not created equal and many sites are old or not kept in good repair. No doubt you know all this already but making it reflex is key.

Brian, thank yo so much for the content. I very much enjoy watching you do this exact type of camping. I'm getting a little older, and stiffer which is making setting up a tent (and everything that goes with it) a bit of a deterrent from getting out and enjoying the outdoors. I'd love to do a setup like this, but I'm not much of a handyman. For now, I'm enjoying this lifestyle vicariously through you and others. And maybe someday... PS - I'm also a fellow Texan (Just NE of Dallas), and I don't think I could do camping in a truck bed about 80% of the year (at least not without some type of AC)!

Last year around March I was camping at Lake Livingston State Park and a cardinal did the same thing to the trucks mirror all day long for 2 days. When we left, that passager mirror was a mess, I couldn't see anything. I don't know if it was mud or that damn cardinal smeared shit all over the mirror.

There is no way I'd have the shore power hookup from under the vehicle. In the dark, in rainy weather, muddy or cold ground. I understand you didn't want to spoil the body of the truck but perhaps on the cap or end of running boards, but lying on the ground is fine.. until it isn't. I like the work you've done, wiring is especially nice. I've wanted to do a truck type overnight camper got some good ideas from you, thanks.
