Solo trip to Marseille South of France, exploring Provence’s most beautiful places, solo travel vlog

Thank you so much everyone for watching, have you been to Marseille? What have I missed?
Marseille is one of the oldest cities in France, founded by the Greeks around 600 BC as Massalia. Its long history is reflected in its diverse architecture and cultural heritage.
Marseille is known for its cultural diversity, with a significant population of immigrants from North Africa and other parts of the world. This diversity is evident in the city’s cuisine, language, and traditions.
As France’s largest port, Marseille has always been an important center for trade and maritime activity. Today, it remains a major hub for shipping, commerce, and tourism.
The city is also known for Marseille soap, a traditional soap made from vegetable oils. It has been produced in Marseille for centuries and is prized for its purity and quality. Love my lavender soap.
Marseille is home to several cultural landmarks, including the historic Old Port (Vieux-Port), the basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, and the iconic Cité Radieuse, a residential building designed by architect Le Corbusier.
In 2013, Marseille was designated as the European Capital of Culture, which brought a renewed focus on the city’s arts, heritage, and urban development.
With its mild Mediterranean climate and stunning natural surroundings, Marseille offers plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, sailing, and sunbathing on its beautiful beaches.
Marseille is served by Marseille-Provence Airport, which is the fifth-busiest airport in France and provides connections to domestic and international destinations.
In recent years, Marseille has undergone significant urban renewal and development projects, including the revitalization of its waterfront and the construction of new cultural institutions and public spaces.
I absolutely love Marseille ❤️

Nice video, but not too much scenery. I was in Marseille for the 1st time last June. I thought the people were so friendly! I loved how diverse the cultures were. I stayed in an Airbnb in the 1st. I think that was a great location. It was a short walk to Vieux Port, but there were locals living there as well. I went to Cours Julien a lot. It ranges from very funky, with graffiti, to lovely tree lined streets, to chill with a glass of wine. I’m American, but I loved it s much, I might go back next year. Oh, the men are very attentive! Hehe! I’m 57, but most people think I’m in my late 30’s-early 40’s. Still, telling a young man how old I was, was not a deterrent!😆 Only 1 was a bit too much. When I was honest, and said I was very tired, I referred to myself as auntie, and I was waiting for code to get into my accommodation, he wished me well and said good night. 😅 I didn’t have to resort to being a tough American woman.

A restaurant that is half way into the sea doesn't have a sea food😂 You can literally catch something with a fishing rod from the edge of that restaurant😂
